I did not think that any of these franchises would be valued this low, to be honest.

I’m surprised the Bruins and Kings are valued higher than the Hawks, especially the Kings.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the stadium itself. I think that’s gotta be in the running for one of the busiest basketball/hockey arenas for big time entertainment events not related to the NHL just because of the fact it’s in LA.

I admittedly have no idea how these valuations are computed so I could be an idiot for even suggesting that and it might be 100% irrelevant.

Market share. The Rangers are worth triple the price if you include MSG.

Like somebody paid half of the Blackhawks "value" to play in Utah in an arena they own. If you buy the Blackhawks, half of the UC and half the parking? It's not 2.45 billion.

There's not a safer investment for a billionaire than buying a big four professional sports team.
With local sports channels dying?

Agreed from 1990-2025 but I don’t think there’s gonna be that same level of franchise value growth the next 35 years.

At this point the best thing going for franchise values are that there’s a high number of billionaires in the U.S. and a major pro sports team is one of those trophy/prestige assets that there’s such a finite supply of, with little to do with actual cash flows.
