Post-Game Talk: Spoilers

Most of the game gets played in our zone. We get scored on. I won't even fault Jones for deflecting it, but that's what happens when you use more sticks than body. We push, shoot 4380509435704375439085784093578438902758927890654739287 shots wide, the shots we do get on goal are scramble shots, Jesus skates through everyone, everyone gets scared and watches him pick a corner. We get the extra man passpasspasspass scramble missed shot missed pass pass and Skinner wins the Vezina because everyone on this team shoots like AHL players.

Bonus good? Cuylle is getting more TOI than Laf

The PP reminds me of when Torts was the coach...just brutally bad with better results on the PK.

One goal against the Oilers is just not going to cut it.

Also, Kreider playing 6 feet away from the goalie on the powerplay and a complete inability to actually be a net front presence hurts a lot. He is a pylon out there.

Need more talent up front. Don't have enough guys that can either create a real opportunity. Or, more important, we don't have enough guys with enough talent to really capitalize on good chances.

Stuart Skinner sucks ass, but a crap goalie can luck into outplaying your high paid one any random given night.

Also, jesus christ does Zac Jones blow chunks. He can't play actual defense to save his life.

The alternatives aren't any better unfortunately, maybe dehaan but it's not pretty

I mean it's not really fair to say they didn't respond when they had the puck for 10 minutes after the 2-1 goal.

My point is not that they played poorly. It just seems like no one on this team can score a timely goal this season outside of a miraculous 4 game stretch. With the exception of the Senators and first Blue Jackets games the Rangers have been playing very well since the 8-2 embarrassment against the Sabres. I guess that Penguins game wasn't great either. But overall they've been good. They're just so painfully unclutch. The Power Play shouldn't be this bad, even with the corpse of Kreider, that's a big part of it. But when they go down in the third you know it's over. It's as if every player is playing so f***ing tight because these games matter.

It's not really a clutch thing. You're looking for guys to step up late in the game when the benches get tight and the big boys are on the ice, and our top players are middle sixers.

How about putting your best big forward in Cuylle pp1?
Kreider is cooked on pp and 5 on 5
They don't have the balls tho

Jones f***ing blows….

That’s probably the last meaningful game Zac Jones will play here, good riddance.

Jones > Soucy/de Haan AINEC

It's just one of the many things that are opposite of last season, but I swear we led the league last year in come from behind wins.

Played pretty well, but no finish and then a mistake or two really bites us.
The PP just not getting it done really hurts.
Always nice to see Cuylle pot one

People talked about Lindgren and putting NHL bodies on the D corps to fix some of the problems, and it has. We were competitive in this game instead of watching the opponent cycle literally all night. We didn't have guys on the ice for 40 shot attempts against.

The next problem we have to fix is the lack of talent and speed up front.

This is an overreaction, look at the team last year. They set a frigging record in come from behind wins. I get that some players aren't the same, but this is just hyperbolic nonsense about them being middle 6ers.

Lots of excuses
Let's see how many home games they win this week? They get to sleep in their own beds no travel

It's not.

You're being led through the nose by the sequence goals are happening in.

Lack of talent has been a problem since f***ing Jagr left.

The talent in Hartford looks like we could ice 10 4th line forwards. Its basically going to be up to Perreault to be Superman, god speed to him.

To be fair,a lot of guys had career years last year. This isn't the same team as last year's.Coming from behind all those times last year was great, but it also meant they were trailing all those times too. This years team just isn't good enough to replicate last year's success
