Yeah, slobbering over him with core theme bad fit Carolina. Bowness emphasized that too. It's been kind of annoying watching the Dallas-Avs game with all the TNT commentators going on about his move from Carolina to Dallas

There is no such thing as bad BBQ but there is no way in hell Texas style is better than CarolinaI'd add:
"Mikko says he plays better in Daylight Savings Times cities that are out West"
"Mikko says, Texas has better BBQ and Carolina's wasn't a good fit"

YOUR ADHERENCE TO JUDAISM OR ISLAM IS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF.I love you all but pulled pork and pork in general just does not compete with beef in any which way. I get that it is a way of life in NC but there are almost no situations where I'm choosing pork over other decent meat options
BUT I WANT TO BIT^H ABOUT STUFF.Yeah, this seems like a big miscommunication more than anything. Tulsky told Marek the same thing that this agent is saying here - Rantanen didn’t want to be traded out of Colorado, didn’t make up his mind that he didn’t want to be here until a week beforehand, and that’s when the 4 team list came out.
Rod spoke very loosely and conversationally with Gold, and with some emotion - I’m sure he didn’t actually mean Rantanen “immediately” came in and gave us 4 teams he’d be willing to play for, but the transcript of what he said could probably be misconstrued that way.
The agent is also correct that Rantanen could’ve really screwed us here by walking to free agency and did us a huge favor by being willing to sign an extension with one of those four teams now.
As far as breakups go, Rantanen was certainly the one who broke up with us, but he did it pretty darn gently and made sure we were taken care of. I’m excited for this story to be yesterday’s news because at this point everyone should be happy more or less.
Swine is fine, it's just not as good as other stuff out thereYOUR ADHERENCE TO JUDAISM OR ISLAM IS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF.
YOUR OPINION WASN’T WRONG UNTIL YOU IMPLIED PORK AIN’T DECENT.
TO BE EXACT. HIS AGENT IS TRIPLE THAT AND THEN SOME.IT IS 17TH OF MARCH AND MIKKO RANTANEN IS STILL A CU^T.
he just don't dig on swine, that's allYOUR ADHERENCE TO JUDAISM OR ISLAM IS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF.

As a whole I agree. But a pork shoulder takes to smoke so much better than other meats. Brisket is great also but honestly you get more flavor from the seasoning than from the smoke.Swine is fine, it's just not as good as other stuff out there
All the quinine has damaged your taste buds.I love you all but pulled pork and pork in general just does not compete with beef in any which way. I get that it is a way of life in NC but there are almost no situations where I'm choosing pork over other decent meat options
I mean, the best brisket is going to be like the best pulled pork. You're never going to find it at a restaurant, because with producing large quantities comes sacrifices in quality.Pulled pork in NC is like fried chicken in the greater south. It’s a “way of life” but everyone’s got their own version, their own recipe, etc. We just eat it all the time, but there isn’t, to me, some sort of holy grail version that can’t be accomplished wherever (yes, tough to do whole hog at home, I know, I know, but generally that’s an exception compared to butts.)
Brisket in Texas is more of a Platonic ideal. Ask a Texan where to get the best brisket in Texas and there will be answers (I’ve never been to Texas and even I know Terry Black’s, Franklin BBQ, etc. by name).
Ask a North Carolinian the same question about pork? Lots of different answers, lots of opinions about style, etc., but no one ideal. Hence my comparison to fried chicken in the South. I’m just as liable to say my favorite pulled pork is my dad’s than to name a specific place. (My dad’s pulled pork on a Martin’s potato roll with Jim’s Own Sauce and some grocery store slaw would be my death row meal.)
So basically, I prefer the “pulled pork” culture or whatever, because generally I like B+ pulled pork better than B+ brisket. But if I’m making a food pilgrimage out of it, take me to the iconic Texas places over NC any day.

The best brisket is going to come from someone's backyard.
The best pulled pork comes from my yard.![]()
YEAH, PEOPLE ACTING LIKE BACON IS A HOLY GRAIL OR SOME SHIT PROBABLY DIDN’T HAVE ANY REAL SAUSAGE OR ANOTHER SMOKED MEAT PRODUCT.I’m not gonna say there isn’t great pulled pork out there. I’m sure there is, it’s just in general pulled pork, or pulled meats in general don’t do it for me.
Ribs? Amazing. Really good pork chop? Sign me up. But if I have the choice between something pork or a steak, brisket, burger, all beef dog, etc. I’m gonna go with the beef more often than not.
Bacon I also find to be terribly overrated. Not that it’s bad, I’m just not a OMG BACON PUT IT ON EVERYTHING type person. Like it’s fine but the world needs to calm down about it.
