so yea, that 1st period was freaking awful. Just no compete in the d-zone. Like Ruff came became coach again

not much offensively either

Real conversation between my friend and I right now during the intermission.

Him: ''Did you get a colonoscopy yet?''
Me: ''No! Not yet! Did you?''

Him: ''No, I'm under 45 and probably not average risk''.
Me: ''What the f***? You're saying I'm average or high risk?''
Him: ''No, but you're over 45''.
Me: ''How about that Dave Rogalski?''
Him: ''He's not high risk to get fired, if that's what you're asking?''

Well, I missed a period it seems. Still hungover from Czech?

I think it’s a bit of that and also the fact the Leafs are a much better team than Buffalo. Leafs heavy forecheck gave them problems but there were also some brain dead plays being made. They were just off all around. That goal is hopefully the spark they needed. 2nd period will tell us a lot

I don't think it was lack of compete. Though similar to last season there was a softie from distance and a bad turnover by a D-man which led to a goal against.

Cotter and Palat should switch lines. We need a little speed on the third line and Cotter looks good. And please no one suggest Haula is fast like some of the commentators do sometimes. He’s not.

Dillon and Mercer were not hard on the puck whatsoever, extremely lazy play on 3rd goal.

2nd goal was just weak

1st goal, they just stood around watching.
