Yes, I imagine the plan was always to alternate starts until someone played poorly, or someone got hurt.

If it really is short term, that's the whole reason for keeping Martin around. And it does potentially give Pyotr a few games to run with it. I'd still expect the time share to continue if Freddie gets back healthy relatively soon.

I'm a little disappointed we didn't add a 3rd NHL-caliber goalie for Freddie insurance. If Freddie is out long term, Martin as a backup to Kooch is not confidence inspiring at all
