White Out 902
I'm usually right.
The stars have been lining up on this one since the Olympics. The guy wants a shot at a cup and its not happening any more here.
He'll never get close than 2018, and he blew it big time. Him, personally.

I was referring to the talk of him aaking for a deal involving Florida.A couple of random guys with no real connections, are spreading rumors that cannot be substantiated at the moment. Aside from that, the Hellebuyck for Larkin + a late round draft pick rumors, is insulting to any real Jets fan.
If the Jets trade Hellebuyck, it better be a damn good return, considering Comrie would be our new starter. We have absolutely no depth in net.
Depends where he ends up. He was definitely the 2nd best goalie in that series...He'll never get close than 2018, and he blew it big time. Him, personally.
This does make a lot of senseBut, if Helle has demanded a trade and/or put Chevy on notice to be dramatically better or else……we aren’t competing, we’re restructuring. IMO Helle comments could be viewed as a poison pill type of warning, bc he knows Chevy can’t do what he’s asking for to happen. At best, if Chevy has a good summer were a bubble team to a weak playoff team and I can’t imagine that’s what Helle is demanding.
Good vs bad returns are very dependent on the situation, Helle has a full NMC and 100% controls where he goes which potentially limits the return a bit. Of course there is the argument Chevy could play hardball if Panthers offer a 2nd pick and Mackie, says to Helle sorry I can’t find a suitable trade. But Chevy/Chipman are very reasonable, if Panthers offer a reasonable offer they’ll take it IMO and not want to foster ill will amongst vets on the team. Chevy could also try to slow play it (most likely outcome), very Chevy thing to do, he will make some improvements this summer, Helle might be doubtful, Chevy will pray everything turns to gold and we have a good season next year, at worst he trades Helle next summer when Helle as less control and Chevy has more teams to work with and hopefully a slightly better return.
I don't know why Vegas and Florida would suddenly start operating under the premise that they don't need roster upgrades, as it isn't what they've done up to this point. You're right that it isn't simple - but it is necessary. That list is really only 1 team, Minnesota. Vegas and Fla don't need him. And Minnesota has too little to offer.
