Overall, I think we've drafted one of the worst projected hairline/60 group of prospects since 2017. Lias was receding in his D+1 year while playing on the 4th line. Kakko has the early onset thinning in his D+1 year as well. Vitali has nice locks and the widow's peak can certainly slow down and still maintain a nice Leo DiCaprio look but overall not great before he's played his first full NHL season. A lot is riding on Alexis to continue to hold and bring up the average hairline/60 of our rebuild.
Nah, we are in good hands in that department. Couple that with lafs Chin symphony and we are set for years to come.
Utterly pissed we couldn’t get a deal like that for Dvorak before the Habs had the chance.
Would have easily given up a 1st and 2nd for Dvorak. And think he would have been a perfect fit on a great contract.
Maybe could have sent them Strome instead of the 2nd even. Yotes love expiring contracts.
MB must be a sorcerer. He got the Canes to troll themselves, take a poor draft pick off his hands getting 2 picks in the process and then flipped those picks, basically, for a great center upgrade. I’ll never hate on him again. Habs are finishing 4th ahead of Bruins this season.
That Kotka contract is awful. And I can’t see him accepting less to extend beyond this season, even if he doesn’t deserve it. WHICH means if they don’t pay, the Canes could end up losing Kotka after all this. Not sure what they were thinking. Wonder if Canes really thought there was no way Habs wouldn’t match. Lol. The size and height here is promising but let's see if he can translate his hair game to the NHL style of play.

They will have nine as soon as they move Kessel. That may come at the deadline.
The Coyotes will be feasting on the waiver wire. Their roster is God-awful. They have made no attempt to add to the team they will be putting on the ice.

Rangers should target Dubois instead of Eichel. rather have a power center over a finesse player. we got that finesse with Mika Zibanejad. need skilled grit in the top 6. the guys like Tkachuk, Landeskog, Andres Lee, Malkin, Schenn, Wilson types ( even malkin and MacKinnon has an edge to his game) tired of the Voros Asham types for grit. would love a prime Wayne Simmonds type here....

Backes is cooked. Would rather take chances on guys like Blais etc than hope Backes has something left in the tank
I doubt the Jets are keen on trading Dubois already but you never know.
He has not fit in at all with the Jets apparently. Maybe he needs more time considering first time traded at the NHL level. I like his game. Reminds of of a more skilled Brandon Dubinsky.
jets have tried for a long time to have a solid 1-2 punch in the middle. They finally get it with PLD. 1 bad season isn’t going to get them to give up on PLD that fast. And they lost Laine in order to get him there. More likely then not, his game rebounds. Solid player.

1 down year isn’t going to make them deal PLD. They have been after a solid 1-2 punch down the middle for a while. Chevy is a pretty stingy GM.
I really thought we would put together a solid package for him while he was still in columbus considering his history with Panarin. I think we missed the boat on him.
He would have been better off taking a futures package with more control. Doubt buffalo makes a similar mistake with Eichel. Trading away the best piece for 2-3 pieces with cost control is the way to go, even if the player being traded is more talented

Excited to see what another offseason of development has down for Krav/Kakko/Laf/Chytil
