In NHL 22?

If he puts up 70 this team likely runs away with the division.
We’re a shoe in then, I will delete Tobs account if he doesn’t at least hit 50. I’m expecting 70, hoping he cracks 100 if he’s on a line with Panarin. Kravtsov is the real deal. He’s what you’d get if you created the ideal hockey player in a lab

Like last season when he was going to put up 12-11-23 in 21 games? At least you were close on the GP total, there.
Can’t win them all my friend, I was nearly dead on in GP and not far off of the numbers he would’ve put up with proper minutes. His most common linemates were Brett Howden & Wayne Rooney, no PP time, etc. He also got absolutely robbed of the GWG goal in his first NHL game, then got his first NHL goal called back on an offside challenge, randomly lost 2 assists on the scoreboard, that’s 4 points right there to bring him to 8 even strength points in 20 games on the 4th line.

I’ll go 79 games this year with a statline of 32-38-70

Really dont understand the fuss around the Rangers re-signing Hajek. He is still young. He is depth. Maybe he improves. If not, it costs you nothing. It is so low risk, I don’t know why anyone would be upset over this.

Yep, and I think it’s important to remember for example Michael Sauer’s path. Libor is 23. Sauer was born in 87’, He played the entire 09-10 season in the AHL.

Everyone liked Sauer, but when he didn’t get a promotion that year, I think most of us wrote him off. He played 3 games when he was 21-22 and wasn’t particularly good. He was good, but not like great in the AHL.

Then he gets a chance in the NHL — 100% only due to a big man fall — and just showed that he belonged and then some.

Ds take time.

Missed it if it was discussed, but Couturier's extension numbers surely bode well for the Rangers and Zibanejad, no?

Couturier got a signing bonus contract which is similar to Panarin's contract. ROR contract. The contract is buyout proof. Landeskog got $56M over 8 years with just $1M signing bonus money. Full NMC in the first 4 years. Limited NTC/NMC in the last 4 years. Couturier got $62M. $42M in signing bonus. Full NMC in the first 7 years. Limited NTC in the 8th year. Couturier took less AAV for more guaranteed money. He is getting every penny of the $62M. Landeskog could be bought out after the 6th season.

I am skeptical if there will be a big bag of money for free agents going forward because every team will have cap issues. Maybe there is a team which has money to spend one summer here and there. How many tickets have NHL teams sold? The pandemic essentially closed the NHL for the rest of 19-20 and most of 20-21. Teams are trying to move money but to which team. The Blues can't move Tarasenko. The Capitals would love to move Kuznetsov. Seattle came into the league at the right time. There are no more expansion teams coming.

The Rangers need to figure out the middle of the ice and their cap.

The Rangers took Andersson and Chytil in the first round in 2017. The Rangers acquired Howden at the 2018 trade deadline. You hoped one of those players becomes a top NHL center and one of them becomes a good player. Andersson and Howden are now in different organizations. Chytil. This is a big season for him. Gallant is his 3rd NHL head coach. Make or break. Now or never.

The Rangers are the top seed in the East if Kravtsov gets 70 plus points. It's not unreasonable if the Rangers young players pop because there are many hit or miss teams in the east.

this team’s forwards need to back check for that to happen. Yeah, it’s not fair to ask some boys to play with man power while the lack of back checking and board play is why this team has had issues.

Although I’m thinking grit was on the future agenda, it’s a shame the last regime kinda ignored what happened vs Carolina and treated last season as a dress rehearsal. I think this team is much better equipped.
