I have found this season very mediocre.

Even last year, they kept a continuous plot, but each episode focused on something new related to that theme. This year it's just a continuous story, and it's pretty darn evident they are low on material because they are beating jokes very hard into the ground. This is something they have been known to do, but it's far worse thus far this year.

Don't get me wrong, South Park is always entertaining, even the bad episodes, but I have found this season very lacking in creativity.

False. This season is hilarious.

I don't think this season has been funny at all, but still love the shots they are taking at the election and trolls. SP is just about always on point with their opinions, perhaps they feel the need to really push the election stuff since they see it for what it is, a very serious problem. I thought last season was one of their best, so I figured it would be hard to top that.

I did like the end though when Cartman kept asking about women's balls.

My DVR has been cutting off the end so I started recording the next show just to catch the last few seconds.

Don't think Matt and Trey came up with the idea tho. Still a pretty great ad campaign

I liked Randy's commentary on where our society stands as well, how "everything sucks".

Randy: "People like your MOTHER, who are thinking about voting for a ******, because she doesn't have a BRAIN....."

Sharon(offscreen): "Go to hell, Randy!"

I found it odd that they switched their minds so easily. I figured they would rail into people for not being able change their minds.

It's amazing/hilarious/pathetic that the real presidential campaign almost seems more satirical than the fictional South Park version.

Maybe that's why some are finding this season to be sub-par.

Not myself, mind you, I think it's been great so far.

But I can see Matt and Trey just watching the trainwreck campaigns being run by Trump and Clinton, and just say, "well, ****, how the hell are we supposed to top this? It's already too funny."

Seriously. One of Donald Trump and HIllary Clinton is going to be the next President of the United States. Let it sink in for a moment. That alone is funnier than anything the masterminds behind South Park could envision.

The show hit kind of a rough patch a few seasons ago. I always liked it. But last season, introducing the PC principle thing. This whole continuity. I really thought it's been the best in a long time, and how it's naturally progressed. I mean, they're making fun of the fact nostalgia just makes something better and they're putting in old references like the "You seen this, you heard about this" and the Fred Gwynne character from Pet Semetery that was in classic SP episodes. And yeah, the ending to last eps and Cartman was hilarious

"If you wanna go to south park you gotta go down dat rod"

"Course I ain't never seen anyone go up that rod. Six years ago a group of campers went out dere and got lost, had to eat each other to stay alive. Used to be da way to da O'Reilly house, he butchered over 50 children and kept der bodies in his cellar. But you should find an old bridge 'bout half way up. Dat bridge is cursed, ya know. Dey built it with the bones of 200 Chinese laborers who were massacred in '34. Ya, a lot of history on dat rod."

"...or is South Park down dat rod?

Sucks that there's no ep tonight.

I was thinking earlier, as well.......have they used Kenny/Mysterion at all this season? I don't remember seeing him. Maybe my memory is fading in these autumn years lol.

He was great in the UPS episode too.

Finished watching the Black Friday trilogy today. That's some damn funny TV.

Yeah, you always have to add a little extra time to the recording. I set it to end 1 minute late

A normal DVR can do that but the PS Vue can't. It's something I have to deal with, the show afterwards likely has the ending.

Another solid episode. Kind of wish they had incorporated more of the political stuff (there was SO much over the past two weeks), but excited to see the gender war.
