I honestly don't care if the 7th is particularly good. He should be a vet that isn't going to miss any development sitting in the press box for ~75 games. He should only step in in a case where one of the top six gets dinged up too close to game time to replace him with a call up.

But, as you know, that's not how this org operates. When Ellis misses the beginning of the season, Seeler will step into the starting six, rather than one of the farm hands. And he'll play 40+ games because they don't know what they're doing.

Sorry. Only the first sentence is really directed at your comment. The rest is general ranting.

The 7th defensemen usually plays 20-30 games at minimum for most teams. That should be a good player if possible and a player of Seelers calibre only if you've exhausted every other possibility. Which Chuckles the lazy f*** Clown hasn't yet.

I guess maybe I view good teams as ideally having two "7th" defensemen:

- The one that sits on their roster as I described earlier, filling in in a pinch when needed but not relied upon long-term, and
- Their first AHL callup, the one that plays every night in the AHL but comes up and plays for a long-term injury.

So I just want a serviceable fill in in my ideal world. But maybe you're right and I'm getting too out of touch anymore.

ETA: obviously you still want better than Seeler if you can, but used this way I wouldn't be too miffed about it. But they won't use him this way, either.

A GM is going to be very disappointed when they end up giving Kadri his next contract...let's hope it's not here

My sources tell me that all four of Jamey, Brandon, Dan the Man and Anthony, are the biggest f***ing morons on flyers Twitter today. And Bill takes the cake for biggest Cuck.

It's kind of funny that he's so adamant about how clueless they are but all of the changes and fixes he has advocated for (Clarke returning as GM?!) are just as clueless.

Therien is an idiot. That should not be a surprise to anyone anymore. He sometimes gets things objectively correct, because of his alumni butthurt and vendetta, but his takes only rarely align and more coincidence than anything signalling rational thought processes on his end.

Therien’s an idiot who doesn’t understand business. It’s not necessarily just a Flyers issue or even an NHL issue as other sports are facing it too. But obviously hockey is the smallest of the four major sports leagues here in the US so they have lesser of a pie to cut from to begin with in comparison to those other three.

Younger people aren’t buying season tickets like older generations. That could be for a multitude of reasons (financial, more entertainment options, different interests, etc). These older people are dying off & not being replaced nearly enough with the younger generations. Hockey is way more reliant on ticket revue than the other sports. The NBA for example that’s plays an 82 game schedule & runs around the same calendar schedule too. They have multiple bigger revenue streams that trump ticket revenue (TV deals, endorsements, etc.). They’ve built their business model to that point that it’s not self reliant on gate revue, it’s more so just an additional income compared to other streams.

I’m not even talking like politically or morally but hockey is obviously a niche audience that doesn’t really have much of a non-white male audience at least in comparison to the other three.

So Therien & others might not like it but you’re already in the bag for their business. They’re trying to attract outside viewers that aren’t apart of his demographic. So that’s why they do different stuff that don’t appeal to you.

Started a war on a random suggested Flyers FB page when, like I always do, I ripped the shit out of the disease that is Bobby Clarke. These two dudes went after each other after one told the other to stop living in the past. Hope it's one of you guys.

It's uncanny how Chuck has come in and gotten every single thing wrong.
Literally every single addition and subtraction he's made has been a mistake and 99% of re-signings have been terrible too.

The only thing he's done that seems to be OK is the Konecny contract, but outside of that I can't think of even one other good move. The Provorov, Sanheim, Farabee, and Hart contracts were all bad and obviously the UFA contracts have been utter disasters, along with every single trade. Coaching hires have been horrific and the drafting has sucked too.

So yeah, literally everything except one single action, it seems.

I wouldn't mind trading Hart. Kinda have to understand what Fedotov can do first, though

And also, not for Marner...
