The problem is, Torts will sit such talented players for those that don't deserve it. Torts will play those that don't deserve it at a higher line than those that are more talents, e.g. Laughton 1st line over Couts on the 4th. You may bring in a talented D-man, but you know he will find room to make sure that players like EJ and Staal and Seeler get to play over such talented people. Then you have the fact that you have to trust Briere to bring in actual talent, but then you realize that he runs this shit through Torts. So it's a constant ouroboros of bullshit. Never ending cycle of these two bringing in "talent" that actively hurts the team, hurts the younger players and then they think everything is okay and continue doing what they're doing.

But you know, they are dumb f***s and only get on their knees and suck harder.

He’s not wrong. The beginning of the end for AV started with Hart, Elliott, & Jones having unsustainably bad goaltending in the his last two seasons here.

I find Jamey's tweeting to be less irritating than someone like O'Connor because Jamey seems to be a pleasant enough person but just utterly clueless and delusional.

Meanwhile O'Connor is shamelessly dishonest and half his tweets are crying and playing the victim, as if he doesn't invite it and deserve every single thing thrown his way.

You can get away with a bad PP if you have a really good PK and you can score 5 on 5 but this team wasn't all that good scoring at any time. It was a counterpunch team that often had to fight from behind and when you are like that one missed save by a goalie sinks you and that happened when the goaltending bubble burst.
Maybe Torts has lost the room. People will say that. If its true I guess they have to move on but it would not be good. Berube? Gallant? Some new guy? I wouldn't, but you can't change ALL the players so they have to figure out if it's true or not.
Personally, I like this team more than the one that had JVR and Hayes etc. that Fletcher left us but they do need more scoring talent added to it. I joke with my friend in Buffalo that if we could take our two teams and toss the sticks in a pile and do that old pick up thing we might be able to mix it into two functional rosters as we are polar opposites in what we have and do but both lose. Some of their high end talent, some of our work hard grit, two more balanced rosters.
Well we shall see what happens. Maybe we have to wait for Michkov to save us.
