Strong rumours linking him to Barcelona the last week here. And to be fair whenever I'd seen him I was sure it was just a question of time until he'd become one of the best goalkeepers in the world

Rayan Cherki is absolutely unstoppable right now.
He's Europe's best dribbler (keeping mind the zone where he dribbles), averages more than 2 key passes per game,

Cherki is a one-dimensional player, tell us about the boy's non-possession phase, because I personally saw him grazing on the pitch several times. In my opinion he is a good player, but I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to play in Arabia in 5 years. Technically he is super gifted, a beautiful shot, but there are some flags that are too scary. Let's see what he does, he could be a bargain at the right price, he's clearly not one to build around.

You can't keep that round figure but doing defensive work. Still would like him at Barcelona though
 
Lyon is laughing because they wanted to dump him last summer (last contract year) and they rejected offers of 15M (PSG big mistake).
Now he's signed an extension and nobody is going to get him for 20M.
Kudos to BVB who had the player's agreement but the coach and sporting director disagreed on him.
 
There is some truth, but it is also true that for the role he plays, dribbling often means creating numerical superiority too.
 
Cherki gently was the highest rated player in the derby. Ended up with an assist.
Also lead the game in balls won in the 1st half.

This kid is just getting better and better each game, he's already one of the best CB's in the Belgian league to the point where people are wondering why he is "only" playing for Westerlo and not for a one of the top teams

Scored a wonder goal against champions Club Brugge too yesterday (skip to 2:45)

I bid what I would say is the real life equivalent of 25 million for Vuskovic in the keeper league I’m in over two years ago. I was countered with 75 million and wasn’t prepared to make the required 150 million bid. Kid looks the business though, but still early days. He didn’t have a very good Uefa Youth League final in the loss to AZ and ideally he’ll be in another league next season.

He’s fun, but I’ve never seen a highlight where he is doing anything impressive defensively. It’ll be a shame if Angie is sacked before he gets there

I did, but he was only 16 then and that Uefa Youth League was not a good moment for him.

Side note, he is the younger brother of Mario Vuskovic of Hamburg who was banned for 3 years for doping.

I had missed it but very very promising OM youngster Enzo Sternal has left Marseille for Anderlecht @Savi
De Zerbi wasn't a fan.
I'm not sure if it's the character or the player, but to me, the guy clearly has top upside. Rumors he might be hard to handle so it mighr be why.
OM is selling him with a rebuy option.

Everyone here kinda figured no top French prospect would leave for the Belgian league at that age
Especially for Anderlecht who have had terrible management since the Kompany sacking
