Yeah, I can't argue the red, but you can definitely see him attempt to pull out of the tackle. Pulls both of his legs back in as he gets close to making contact, with knees bent, etc. Had he kept straight-legged, that would have been ugly. OverZealous, is what it is. They may try to appeal it but I dont think they'll get anywhere.

I have no problem saying it - this team was barely good enough for top 4 before the injuries, so my expectations were pretty low. The midfield is ancient( by footballing standards), and once we canned Tuchel, it was almost a guaranteed top 6 finish vs Top 4, just because of new manager, new ideas, etc.

Chelsea's problem has been that most of their offense actually comes through their wing backs, and they rely on their defensive mid to turn play in transition. With Reece James, Ben Chillwell and NGolo Kante all out, we really just dont have a shot. We had the exact same thing happen last year when all three were out, and we did nothing to address the situation since, so we're getting similar results.

The squad is due for a massive overhaul, which is shocking to say given how much they spent this summer. Unfortunately, they spent a large amount of it in the wrong areas. Its going to get worse before it gets better, and Chelsea are going to spend a good amount of money to get there. I wouldnt be surpriused to see as many as 6-8 first teamers leave between now and the summer, headlined by people like Jorginho, Pulisic, Ziyech, and even Koulibaly (yes, just one year on from his purchase).
As an outsider looking in even I know how much James, Chilwell and Kante mean. Throws off the whole dynamic of the team. Hopefully the right people are making decisions and it gets turned around quickly rather than the debacle I had to witness with United.

Napoli are fun to watch. Completely destroyed Juventus. That Osimhen/Kvarathskhelia duo looks like an absolute nightmare to play against.

I don't really follow Serie A, but Napoli's offensive style is really entertaining. Looks like they can finally win the league this year. Last time was over 30 years ago when Maradona won a couple titles for them

This team is wearing my nerves. We're just chasing names at this point. Why are we spending 100M convincing a player who wants arsenal in a position of non-need instead of spending the additional 20M for a player in a position of dire need who WANTS chelsea? @BigToe

What they hell happened to West Ham?

Poor spending (yes, I realize this is pot/kettle black) and Moyes apparently lost the dressing room. It's hard when ypur captains heart is clearly elsewhere.

This isn't me being "haha he's coming to chelsea!" ( I don't even know thst he will st this point. Well just keep buying ALL the wingers), but he turned down a 200K a week contract last summer to stay on 3,500 a week but have the ability to leave sooner. He clearly wants to go play for a more competitive team, whoever that may be.

And now Shakhtar agree lol. He needs to force the move at this point.

edit: He signed a deal and now I'm mad.

Tbf, paying 100m for a mostly unproven player would've been insanity. Obviously, Chelsea don't care. They're a joke.

Stealing Mudryk and Felix is hilarious though, gotta give it to you guys. Hopefully we have someone else lined up.

Please steal it from us. I dont even care how bad it looks for us.

This process is just so aimless these days. I don't care about payment structure. Winger is a need technically since ours aren't fantastic but we literally have Matteo Kovacic and Loftus-Cheek under contract in the Midfield next year. Oh. And Chukuwuemeka, who they've been playing as a forward.

On the bright side, this does mean there's got to be a huge clear our coming in the forward group. So long, Havertz, Pulisic, and Ziyech.

Ornstein said he agreed to a 7+ year deal though. Battle of the tier 1s.

Yeah, I saw ornsteins too. I hate it here.

I trust Edu and Arteta if they think he's worth it though.
He seems to be a great talent. But if we pay 100m, I'd rather go after someone like Rafael Leao who's proven he can perform on the highest level.
Or maybe a cheaper option like Mitoma. I'm a huge fan of him. But I can't see Brighton selling him in the winter.
