Soccer / Football Thread Part Seven

I’ve actually seen all of my teams but one (Spurs) win a title. Most more than once. It’s nice. Fun. You should try it some time.

I am ready to chirp my buddy (Leicester fan) about the Foxes being in the same division as Wrexham, but Wrexham appear to be choking their chances for promotion away.

They may still get through via playoff, but they no longer look like they'll get an automatic promotion.
Will be a rude awakening for them in the Championship anyway. Funding a club in the lower leagues is one thing. But in the Championship they'll have to compete with billionaires and parachute clubs. Do these two actors have enough money for that?

Lol. Nkunku is at least a good player. I dont know where he plays for you guys though. Hes not a PL striker and you sont really need anyone behind at this point.
Guessing he'd be competition for Martinelli and false 9 backup. Basically a new Trossard because it looks like we might sell him before he leaves on a free.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him look better if he went to Arsenal, given he'd be playing with a higher floor team. But I dont think he's the player you need at all. You need Sesko.

Getting him wouldn't mean we aren't bringing in Sesko or Gyokeres. We'll have a lot of spending money this summer.

Idk man. An upgrade on Trossard would be great and I trust Arteta to bring the right guys in. Maybe they just value PL proven players?

Calling Nkunku PL proven is a BIG stretch, though. I do think his recent form is more tied to his disgruntledness, but even before then, he had a hard time dealing with the physicality of the league. He strikes me as more of a Morata type - needs to be in a league that just isnt as competitive to shine.
