why else do you think they had to add a red line for shots/slapshots and blue lines for passes (Glow Puck)? it's because most American's/Casuals don't find it interesting and have a hard time tracking the puck

FoxTrax was only used for 3 years more than 25 years ago and was universally panned by diehards and casuals alike. You bringing it up doesn’t reinforce your point. If anything, it proves the opposite: the project was short lived because even casual fans didn’t need it.

Bettman has been on a mission to grow the NHL in the South for like 20-30 years so really you just dont know what your talking about, it's pretty simple really.... hockey is just more popular in colder areas

Bettman’s strategy has worked out brilliantly. The NHL is now a billion dollar business which stretches continent wide.

Better still, the percentage of US players in the league has been growing. In the not too distant future, the US will supply the majority of talent.

It’s just inevitable.
