Thanks. Would be great to see him play the position he was drafted for. If he turns into a top 6 C, our problems will be 70% solved. Two solid 2nd line centers are good enough to make some noise in the playoffs.

Connolly probably won't even suit up for the Marlies. If he does he will be injured the first night with a pulled groin, rather insulting for someone like him to play in the AHL. He will probably end up being claimed by the Islanders.

Haven't heard much about Holzer, good or bad, at this camp. Is he injured? Apparently Fraser has outplayed Komisarek, and Kostka is making a case as well. With Gardiner out, there may be an opening for either Rielly or Kostka for a few games. I think from what I have read, the last spot is between Fraser, Holzer and Komisarek. Will they keep 8 defense and 13 forwards to start, or 7 and 14?

I certainly hope Rielly is not on the top pairing to start the season, or the Rielly that shows up is not the Rielly I saw at the World's.
From what I've gathered, Frattin has played himself off the roster. I also can't see us not utilizing Steckel's faceoff prowess. I don't think Rielly impressed enough at training camp, either, and expect him to be heading back to Moose Jaw this afternoon.

Isn't me that would be in for a shock, but then I'm probably a tanker, so it would be good.
I haven't heard much about what he's doing with defenseman. He's been shuffling them a lot more than the roster players. Defenseman are the greatest mystery.

We need to trade him for a first round pick. I think a contender team would like to have him before trade deadline.
I think keeping up all those players to warm the press box offers very little benefit to the Leafs, while being largely detrimental to the Marlies. Let Frattin get some icetime on the Marlies, maybe he can find his game.

It has more to do with the fact that they need a long term replacement for Pronger, and Schenn was one of the best long term pieces available. Doubt they cared much about how they were utilizing him, as scoring wasn't an issue for them.
