We already have Kadri. Kadri is only 1 point short from PPG. (He probably would be point per game if he stayed down). He's not big but he weighs about the same.

Kadri is actually at a better point scoring pace than Holland. Just food for thought, he's also just behind another 2009 draft pick at centre; Brayden Schenn. Over 82 games, the paces break down like this:

B. Schenn (82GP / 32 G / 50 A / 82 Pts / -35)
N. Kadri (82GP / 24 G / 55 A / 79 Pts / +15)
P. Holland (82GP / 29 G / 46 A / 75 Pts / -24)
J. Schroeder (82GP / 25 G / 27 A / 52 Pts / -8)

So yeah, you're right. Nazem has played very well and deserves a shot as much as those others will get, however, the grass will always be greener for some people on these boards.

Interesting to see
LUPUL - CONNOLLY - JVR
LOMBARDI - BOZAK - KESSEL
MAC - GRABO - KULE
KORMOV - MCCLEMENT - FRATTIN/BROWN/STECKEL

So Schenn is 1st. line center ready? I know he's almost a year younger than Kadri, but he does produce better in the NHL.

I didn't know Kadri and Marcus Johansson were born on the same day.

Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
van Riemsdyk - Grabovski - Kulemin
MacArthur - Connolly - Frattin
Komarov - McClement - Lombardi
Brown

Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Gardiner - Franson
Liles - Holzer
Komisarek

Reimer
Scrivens

This is exactly what I wanted and was expecting to see. Only problem is no room for Kadri again, that's why a trade has to be made.

Confused at the lineups in camp today:

Lombardi-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Connolly-JVR
Mac-Grabo-Kulemin

but it is early and nothings set in stone I guess.

Lombardi has speed, maybe giving him some reps for scouts?

Remember the only given was Lupul-Kessel?

I am not even sure that Reimer really deserves to start the opening game. At this point, I am not really sure who is better. Reimer or Scrivens. I don't think it really should be set in stone that Reimer is the starter.

So, is Komorov in town?

the thing i hate is, having connolly and lombardi if they play like last year, really handicaps our bottom 6

With out them i feel this would be really solid, for shutting down some players.

Kulemin Mcclement Frattin
Komorov Steckle Brown

if Kadri or Frattin can step up, id consider moving Clarke MacArthur at the deadline for a pick.

Dump Connolly and have Kadri 3rd line C to open the season. If Kadri is not on one of the lines to start the season then he'll never get there..

We need to see him play! And, if he could stay healthy that would be a bonus this time..

Well Scrivens is almost 2 years older and has played half a season already so he could steal the starting job in a short season.

Lupul-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Grabo- Frattin
Connolly-Mclemment-Kulemin
Komorov- Steckel-Brown

Phanuef-Gunnar
Liles-Franson
Komiserak-Rielly

you also need to remember Holland is playing on the worst team in the Eastern conference and Schenn on the 2nd worst. compared to Kadri who is playing on a much much better team. just saying. and I'm not saying Holland is better then Kadri cuz I don't think he is but keep those numbers in context.

I thought Broll was coming to camp?

Kadri was playing with Frattin and Komarov today.

Most likely it was because they are familiar with each other from the Marlies.

There seems to be a lot of bodies and I'm not sure Carlyle will take Nazem. However, he should be one of the first callups in case of injury.

same old thing, send them down and wait another year to give them nhl experence, cause we have to let the vets play, maybe we might win the cup,,,,,,,, :sarcasm:
those 3 are the only ones that can be sent down.
