Quite the contrary, methinks. Jokerit must still pay him, after all. It's a win-win for both the player and his new team. Any club can offer him a contract for peanuts and he gets to consider the offers purely on the grounds of getting the best package providing a big role and decent chance of success.That's one ****** situation right there for Nordlund.
