As a finn, i don't want Slovakia in the quarter. The will take their first win 100 %. They often claim Finland is the worst opponent for them but I usually think Finland have a difficult time against Slovakia and... Records will always be broken. Therefor I rather be a clear underdog than get Dvorsky, Pekarcik, Chromiak, Strbak and a good goalie and in a quarter.
Sure blud 😂

No, honestly. I rather see us against both Czechia and perhaps even Sweden. Even if Sweden are really good.

Would be typical Finland to take stupid penalties and get punished by Dvorsky but also Radivojevic.
The latter wasn't that good today but I believe he could bloom in a PP and be important for you guys.

ASP has grown significantly since being drafted 17th overall. His current season in the SHL is far beyond anything Boqvist ever approached. It’s a pretty terrible comparison at this point.
Boqvist was in the NHL in his draft +2 year. 13 points in 41 NHL games. I'm going to say going from the London Knights in the OHL to the Chicago Blackhawks is pretty significant!

Respectfully, I think you are comparing where we all think Asp will be (Hughes territory) with where Boqvist is today

However, Boqvist went in Top 10 and was in NHL in his D + 2. ASP went in middle 10 and is in SHL in D + 2 and playing at the World Jrs.

That’s fair. I think they are very different players though.

Yeah unfortunately Chicago rushed Boqvist and ruined him.

Worth noting injuries & concussions have f***ed Boqvist up.

This is more indicative of bringing players up too quickly than anything else, honestly.

Noteworthy, maybe. However, hard to chalk it up to personal accomplishments. For a part time bottom 6 role you can't claim the player forced himself onto the roster. So, in large part, it's a management decision here. Might not have been the best decision either in hindsight, as it is tempting to blame his injuries and other struggles on lack of physical maturity.

Realistically even if ASP's defensiive game only develops to nothing better than mid, he's still going to be fine.

In Detroit, he'll be getting PPQB duties and will always end up the secondary choice for defensive duties with Seider there. Not to mention he could very well end up with Edvinsson as his long term partner, which will afford him the cushion to jump up into the offense.

Sweden good.
TSN bad, what's up with no replay.
SVT terrible, still haven't figured out 60Hz is not the same as 50Hz and how to convert streams.
