If we can get 2-3 of the injured guys back, that would be welcomed when the heavyweights come to town. I'd especially like us to have as full a lineup as possible when we play the Laffs.
That’s the game I want to win. I’m surrounded by the idiots here.

Perlini is the perfect example of the guy who looks hot in pre-season and you say--gee this guy was a steal. Then the regular season starts. But what do you mean by changing his game--adapting to a checking role?

Turris will be gone after this season. As for Benson I still hope he makes it--he throws some sweet passes but the "complete game" always seems to elude him.

Yea. He doesn’t use his big frame to disrupt and engage opponents physically. He’s a step behind on the forecheck and seems to be in chase mode most of the time. It’s not effective as a 4th line checker / energy player whatsoever.

Random thought...

I really like how MacKinnon can get a shot off through traffic while the goalie is screened. I can only think of one recent example of McDavid scoring from distance in this manner. It would be a bonus to the greatest player in the world if he could add some more of that into his game.

Just finished watching the game from last night. Russell played great. Barrie as well. Our defence is a revelation this year. One goes down and another fills in.
I wish we had 2 more Hyman’s. What a work ethic. It’s good we rescued him from Toronto.
Kassian needs another kick in the ass

Nurse back is gonna be a huge boost.
Really interested in seeing what we go with next game. Ideally I’d like to see:

Yam Mcdavid JP
Nuge Drai Hyman
Foegele McLeod Kassian
Benson Ryan Sceviour

Nurse Bouchard
Broberg Russell
Lagesson Barrie

although I’m starting to think Benson if he can control his O zone penalties could bump Kassian off that third line with how Kassian has been playing lately.

That would do a 3rd line of Benson MacLeod. Lol. And the 3rd line specialist Foegele. Not so much of
a bottom 6 scoring line. I would put Puljujärvi or Yam there.

Why not call up Marody and give him a last shot. He badly needs to score goals though.
Foegele MacLeod Marody/Kassian
Benson Ryan Sceviour/Shore

Nice to see Benson on the verge to locking up thst 4th line LW.

With Shore coming back, whos gpnna go down? MacLeod is the only one waiverprotected, but also the best player. He should stay. Benson is youngest, that makes Holland sending him down.
I would waive Perlini. He just doeNt produce. At all. We knew he wouldnt sustain his scoring rate, bht that he would go Lander-bad, was way far off.
I like to keep Sceviour in the line up, I like a lot of the options. Just need one more scorer in the bottom 6, Turris pots in the seldom goal, but its to rare, and he may be tve worst forward avaliable out of all.

So give marody a try. Ten games to see what he got.

Got into Seattle this afternoon. Whoa is this a nice rink. Couldn't get in but its all glass on the outside with views looking down to the lower bowl/ice level. This is a great sports town. Think this become a flagship new era franchise. Super stoked to see the first Oilers game here. Hope it's not a trap game!

Have a great time! Post some pics!

It’s going to be pretty sweet when it has its first flood and people say why did you build it underground!?!

The building's been around since 1962. They just did a substantive renovation keeping the roof and bare bones of the structure I believe. Pretty remarkable adaptive architecture. Arena Info - Climate Pledge Arena

No idea if they've had flood issues near the rink. Climate Pledge KO'd by climate change?

I might go to the Saturday, Dec 18 game, now that the border is open and no PCR test required for trips less than 72 hours.

It was easy peasy for us. Nexus card and Arrive Canada app made it a breeze through the border. People here all seem to be following the state mask requirement. Happy to answer any questions via DM if I can. Excited to see inside this building!

First look at the Seattle Kraken's home, Climate Pledge Arena
