Slafkovsky production 2024/25 - prediction?

As we speak, Slafzilla is at:

GP - 13 (of 16)
G - 1
A - 10
PTS - 11

Let's assume the big galoot doesn't miss any more games. That would give him 79 games played by the end of the season. And if we extrapolate his current production to 79 games, we get:

GP - 79
G - 6
A - 61
PTS - 67

Now, I don't believe he'll keep up his assists pace. Nor do I think he'll score at this low clip of 1 goal through 13 games. I think based on what we saw last year, what he's capable of, I'd be comfortable predicting his final totals for this season as:

GP - 79
G - 18
A - 51
PTS - 69

So yeah, I think he'll make a nice leap this season, from 50 to 69ish points. And then, starting next year, when more pieces of the Habs puzzle begin to come into place, we'll see Slaf as a 70-80 point man every single year - good for 25 goals and 55 assists a year, give or take.

Anyone else with a prediction?

I need to know if Marty is keeping him paired with Suzuki.
I don't see 69 points if he doesn't.
If however they pick up a pace similar to last season he can hit 70 plus.
Slaf has 11 points playing like crap most games that tells me he's a point producer.

His point production is on pace but his goal scored is not what I expected. I was hoping for 20 this season at least. But he will take off once we get to be a good team. It will come together

Not gonna lie I don’t think he’s looked very good. Hasn’t really took matters into his own hands like the second half last year at times. Seems kind of stunned out there

Question is, if his girlfriend is in Montreal for whole season or only for some days.... :sarcasm:
no hanky panky on game days and he’ll be fine

if Juraj can find his groove back he should be a lock for 70+. Kid is too good when his feet are moving. He can dish the puck on a Tee to players with a brain like Suzuki if they open up.

One or two greasy goal and he should be back to shooting more often too. He likes the game too much, he'll be back to prime Slaf in no time.

There it is, the magic statement. We saw it on the beautiful assist on Suzuki's second goal.

15 goals, 40 assists , he looks afraid to shoot. Expensive guy, But I'm not paying his salary so it's all good to me.

With Laine or Demidov ... who knows... maybe he gets unleashed

If Slaf plays with the intensity that he had on the second Suzuki goal, he can get 80 points, easily.

He has amazing vision. Like, legit high level vision. His game is not fancy so the casual fan doesn't see an offensive player, but don't give him open ice because he will make you pay. He has the size to make his own space to be able to take advantage of that vision. He needs to use it.

He actually said that? good for him to see that as many fans sure have. Still though, only 1 goal.
Slaf's actual quote: "Yes, it's one of the better ones after I don't know how many I played, 13? Or whatever. Probably 12 bad games. So, it's good that finally had something going."

He has always been very self-aware of what he can do and isn't doing. His problems were mental more than anything. And if the switch stay flipped now, he should start to score, his sh% is very low.

He's really fast at processing the play too. He doesn't need more than 1 sec to make a pass.

He looks like a massive setup guy. Why do you think he's not shooting with much effectiveness this year? His shot looks .. broken , still injured?

Or maybe he gets unleashed when he reaches his prime? He's only 20.

Kucherov 20 years old : 18 points in 52 games
Kucherov 24 years old : 100 points

MacKinnon 20 years old : 52 points in 72 games
MacKinnon 23 years old : 99 points

Draisaitl 20 years old : 77 points
Draisaitl 23 years old : 110 points

Reinhart 20 years old : 47 points
Reinhart 25 years old : 82 points

Connor 20 years old : 57 points
Connor 24 years old : 93 points

Scheifele 20 years old : 34 points in 63 games
Scheifele 23 years old : 82 points

Not enough people realize how hard it is to make 60+ points as a 20 years old or less player and many elite players were not able to pull it off over the years.

I'm not questioning his skill, but he looks reluctant to shoot and when he does it's way off compared to last year. For the record, he is not a Kucherov, Mackinnon or Draisaitl, please stop using their stats as a reference lol.

LeClair was like this early on. He was not shooting. Then in his mid 20ies he started to shot. Slaf has not reached 100% of his physical maturity yet. He'll be much stronger in 5 years and his shot when he'll put all his weight on it will be much more dangerous in 5 years so he'll likely use it more as a result
