Islands in the stream.
That play in particular (good spot) was one I was howling ay. Quite frustrating, lol.
Sure was. Like I say it was boobird worthy.

Anyway Oilers with 6 regulation W's in 21 games says more about where this team is at then the record does. Without 4OT W's were in a world of hurt here. A few of those we were behind in those games as well.

Embarrassing
Perry saying “everyone is playing their highest level against us”
This is the crystallization of the problem with this group
Here’s a vet, a leader saying this crap

OF COURSE THEY ARE PLAYING AT THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL, ITS THE NHL!

“it’s their fault because they are trying hard”

Unreal
Annoying
It is the NHL and teams often lay shits on the ice throughout an 82 game schedule. I don’t think the Oilers see many of those efforts. Maybe Montreal and we still pissed away that game.

Perry has more goals that Hyman, Nuge, Skinner, and Arvidsson.

Pretty sure Perry and Skinner both have 4 goals.
We are currently scoring around the rate the worst Oiler teams of all time did.

Like I said either Knob starts doing some coaching on the offensive side or he is going to get himself fired sooner or later. You can't just coach low event defensive hockey and call it a day.

So true. Everyone is screaming at Skinner (Don't get me wrong, he wasn't good at all), but our defensive structure was terrible. The patchwork D that held together against lesser opponents was exposed pretty badly. Baaad combination.

I hope Nurse is back Saturday, were gonna need him.

Our offense didn't look great either, though that will happen with 2 top 6 out, against a very good Minnesota team.

The thing is, for every 'bad defensive' game like tonight, Skinner has a handful of absolute trash games where he lets in every HDSA and then some.

You already pointed it out, I'd like to see how they do with 2 AHL defensemen not suiting up (Dermott, Brown) and with a healthier forward corps (though Hyman and Arvidsson haven't exactly been great).

I haven’t been all that impressed with many of their efforts this year. Too many games they seem to think they’ll just magically win without working hard.

Remember when Gretzky said he used to sit watching cbc and have a pencil in his hand and trace where the puck was going on a piece of paper

Imagine doing that now for Edmonton? The outside perimeter of the paper would be shredded by the end of period 2 from tracing around it so much

The middle left and right would be pristine lol

They were dogshit defensively today and same old crap in net. They haven't been real brutal defensively this year for the most part.

Minny ran their show
Tonight was the worse defensive performance all year.

TWO 3 on 1s, weak net front work throughout.

But yeh, it’s not really a normal thing with this team. Nurse being out and out inability to skate and control possession lately has lead to this result.

I thought we played well after those first three games. Lost to top teams that we should have won Imo. Shit the bed when nurse went down.

There is just so much wrong with this team right now. At least we are close to a playoff spot... In one? I dont even look.

Just such a meh season. I find it hard even looking forward to games after seeing what we have seen.

Its not about being goalied now either. We refuse to go to tough areas. Every analyst says how we are so perimeter.

PP sucks

What a weird year. So many useless players. To me arvudsson, Jeff skinner, RNH, Hyman have been just crap. Arvidsson the best but he's injury prone.

Scary.

I'm looking forward to kane coming back

I mean it's the Wild.

You could put the Ike's team from SouthPark in Wild Jersey's and we'd make them look like the boys on the bus.

Tonight’s loss isn’t all on Skinner to be sure but when I think back to Koskinen days I really only worried about the high shots. He covered down low adequately. Skinner, I have no idea what’s going to happen, guy has no style or technique to speak of.
He has to be replaced and I don’t think Bowman has a choice. Someone we don’t want to move has to be sacrificed for a goalie. Just do it.
