Isn't this supposed to be an offensive team. Skinner, RNH, Hyman, Arvidsson, and Henrique are all on pace for less than 15 goals and 40 points.

How can Oilers management look at this team, all over the roster, and think everything is all right? It's over 20 games. It's American Thanksgiving next week. This team is not a playoff team. How can you just stand pat?

Skinner wasn’t good but there’s no way you can convince me the team deserved any better fate tonight. Don’t think there’s a single guy you can say showed up for that one.
Some argument could be made for Ekholm but thats about it. Ugly game top to bottom. The Oilers had every bit of fortune possible in this game and beneficial officiating and were still down by 3. Some nights a team gives themselves not even a chance at a W.

Pickard better be starting the next game. I mean at least for the paying fans sake. Who wants to be seeing Clown Skinner in net? like nobody. His defenders here are even long gone.

Well our fancies were shit this game too. But we outshot them and muffins are what really count.
No doubt. Everything was bad this game. From offence to defence to goaltending.

But on the year we are expecting these expected stats to get us out of trouble. If finishers can’t finish, and savers can’t make a save that won’t happen.

This team is so f***ing bland

No energy, no skill, no pushback

We’ve somehow made a team with McDavid and Leon on it hard to watch
We're playing the Minnesota Wild and by miles were the 2nd most enjoyable team to watch on the ice. How is that even possible with a McDrai team?

Games like this are like punishment. Imagine the fans making the effort to go through a snowstorm to get to this game, and they get this game?

I knew I should've stayed home and I did.

The fancies and the eye test don’t quite align this year. Too many passive games.

It's so painfully obvious Stu is not the guy. I think he's actually getting worse. He's never been a very athletic goalie to begin with, and his athleticism is going in the opposite direction it seems. Anytime there's any kind of a scrambly play he's always finds himself out of position and never square to shooters. That's all it takes for NHL shooters to bury it.

It's time to roll with Pickard and look to the trade market. You have to sometimes wonder what these GM's are waiting for. Even send him to Bakersfield and call up Rodrigue....he can't be any worse and at least has the potential to go on a heater.

Keep Rodrigue as far away from this team as possible.

Wildlife crossing. Fast skilled team with almost $15 million dead cap space out skill, outwork and bury the home team. Endless team defensive breakdowns, non-weak side coverage, and no saves is a lethal injection to winning hockey games.

Wild transition quickly, efficiently from solid, structured defending to skill forwards who abused a poor structured, soft defending Oilers team. Oilers stench in own zone extended to poor transition and a perimeter, soft and non-creative 'attack.' Lineup changes contributed to the discombobulation trying to create offense but this was a thorough beatdown with home team behind quite badly in all facets.

Another home loss.

Yeah, the perimeter play was especially bad tonight. Saw dishes back to the point from the slot repeatedly. There may have been some cursing at the TV here at home...
I think I heard some fans booing when Nuge in the slot passed it off to nowhere....was just an absolutely ridiculous play. I don't think it a NUge chant either. heh. What a dismal game. Whole team looked hungover. Looks like they did celebrate their one road Win.

this team should be fighting for presidents trophy en route to a cup final yet here we are AGAIN

the fact that this club still hasn't won even a Pacific division in McDrai's tenure is embarrassing. cant have a single normal regular season

So true. Everyone is screaming at Skinner (Don't get me wrong, he wasn't good at all), but our defensive structure was terrible. The patchwork D that held together against lesser opponents was exposed pretty badly. Baaad combination.

I hope Nurse is back Saturday, were gonna need him.

Our offense didn't look great either, though that will happen with 2 top 6 out, against a very good Minnesota team.

Embarrassing
Perry saying “everyone is playing their highest level against us”
This is the crystallization of the problem with this group
Here’s a vet, a leader saying this crap

OF COURSE THEY ARE PLAYING AT THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL, ITS THE NHL!

“it’s their fault because they are trying hard”

Unreal
Annoying

That play in particular (good spot) was one I was howling at. Quite frustrating, lol.
