When you are the team's 3rd leading scorer and are getting 4 minutes of ice time, it's no longer about winning, it's about not using players who don't want to play in the KHL beyond their contract. This season will fly by. What I would like to see is SKA not making the playoffs and Demidov tearing up the VHL.
HuGo knew when they drafted him that they would not be able to control his development and deployment this season. They obviously didn’t care enough so as to not take him. It is what it is.

Par for the course, Slafkovsky and Reinbacher each had annoying D+1s too, what matters is what they do once they are in the NHL
NHL is more important and we’ll be golden as soon as he gets here. But let’s call a spade a spade, Slaf didn’t help much and looked like a chicken without a head most of the time but he had 12 minutes the whole year. No players got under 10.

While Demidov with fair ice time smokes past the point leader on SKA, looks like an absolute stud in the process, yet he’s currently breaking IIHF world records for least ice time in international hockey history.

There's a reason Michkov and Demidov fell in their draft years. General Managers generally don't like to take risks when drafting in the top 5. Its a mind set that won't change for at least the near future. Watch how the next top Russian prospect 'surprisingly' falls in his draft class.

😂 He can only fight with the army he has
Putin says and laments that every morning.
