Ska Versus Sibir October 28th 12 30 EST

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Agreed that most people remember Lemaire mostly when they think of who centered Lafleur but Pete was solid early after Lafleur broke out. I was bummed when they traded big Pete for Pierre Larouche.
René Lecavalier classic, when both Mahovlich bros. played for the Habs: « La passe à Mahovlich, Pete celui-là ».

RadCan produced the classiest, best-spoken broadcasters for La Soirée du hockey. Only one is still active — Pierre Houde.

👍

Mad lad , his stats are simply crazy and yet everytime I watch him play it feels like it could be so much more.

''21'' games, 5goals, 12 assists, 17points, +15 all that with only a 10:51 TOI AVERAGE.

He has the potential to be a top 5 NHL top scorer.
He wouldve had a solid chance at the calder at 18 facing guys like stankoven who are 21 years old haha! I see him do 70 pts at his first season

As for the stylistic comparison, it's not bad. Kucherov is probably the smartest offensive mind of this generation, and has the one-timer threat and a quick release to go along with it.

Demidov is very smart, but probably not on Kucherov's level. He's more of a creative type that pulls plays out of his ass which no one else would think to do. That being said, he also learns quickly what he can and can't do and adjusts, unlike, say, a Zegras type. His shot is pretty good but he takes a bit to get it off and relies on the curl and drag shot a bit too much. His one-timer is also not near Kucherov's level at the moment.

I think he has the work ethic to improve on these things and put up 100+ pts in the NHL more than once, and will be a better defensive talent than Kucherov is, but will fall short of his offensive impact.
At the same time Kucherov was a steal in the 2nd round, nobody expected him to be a star. He still took 5 years to have his first ppg season whilst Demidov will probably do it alot earlier. Kucherov was a bit nonchalant and still sis, his style is different than Point for example who is always at 100%

Off Face-Off Chance 5:57
Shot 7:57
Rings One Off Post 8:33
Assist 11:38

Thanks alot man! I've watched alot of your videos of shifts per shifts from a few prospects like year like Roy and Mailloux, its even more amazing with Demidov

The REAL Hockey Night in Canada was awesome particularly in our Market.
The shit we get now is as watered down as the league is and the regional representation is basically non existent because of the intermission.

Too much PP time is dangerous until Demidov has been made a better person.

obviously there are always stuff going on behind the scenes that many of us are not privy to. I am sure there was something to why he was traded.
I just read a book by James Duthie. He said Mahovlich missed a curfew. Scotty fined him a $100. He paid $200, told Scotty that's for the next time. Pete was traded next day.
