I'd like Robertson in San Jose as a reclamation project but I'd prefer to keep Dellandrea since he is defensively responsible, can play center or wing, can function throughout the lineup and has an additional year of cost control on his contract

If you'd like to build some around Nico Sturm I'd be interested, but I doubt Toronto would reciprocate

Maybe? I dont think either player is an NHLer but Robertson has more "upside". I use the quotations because I think he has regressed without watching all that much so far this year. I dont think it's worth the time for either side or the move for players involved.

Robertson will absolutely come back to bite the leafs when traded but he also isn't going to put it together in Toronto either. Sharks 3rd for Robertson + 6th.

The Sharks have more than enough bottom-6 plugs as it is
Based on this seasons performance I'd agree but because of his numbers last year as well the kid absolutely has the chance to still be a 20+ goal scorer in the league. If the sharks believe he's not worth a 3rd to take that chance then fair enough.

7th and Rutta?
I think the Leafs would be looking for a pick, when their injury issues clear about they have to many players as is.

I won’t comment on what Robertson is or isn’t worth. But I don’t think he’s a good fit for the Sharks. They already have two young diminutive scoring wingers that are too good for the AHL that they can’t seem to fit into their roster in Bordeleau and Guschin. Additionally, the Sharks don’t have much size in their top 9 as it is and Robertson does nothing to help with that.

Perhaps there’s a team that wants Robertson for a 3rd. I’d be surprised if the Sharks are that team.
