The Sharks will have no problems with this. Not sure your backhanded shot is needed here but whatever.

The team will take a hit with Thornton gone but there are lots of good players in the system/AHL.

Will look awful in ~5 years from now. I think San Jose would've been much better off looking at a 5 year 45M deal instead of the 8/64.


Burns isn't the type of Dman who will last into his late 30's or early 40's. Plays too many tough physical minutes.
