We do not have Sam and Joe to do NYR related trivia in our offseason.

I will start but encourage anyone to post their own.

My 2 trivia questions will be Wayne Gretzky related.

Which one time NYR was the best man at Wayne's wedding?

Which one time NYR let up the first goal in Wayne's NHL career?

Now you can cheat by doing internet searches but if you do cheat I will know and I will hunt you down, lol. :D

Glenn Anderson?

Which one time NYR let up the first goal in Wayne's NHL career?
No idea. Was it before or after they were a Ranger?

I cheated so I won't post but the answer to #1 can qualify to be the answer to #2 (although it's not).

On edit: - the answer to #1 plays the position to qualify to be the answer to #2. It would not be possible in the circumstances.
I'm glad you did not spoil it for others by posting what you looked up. Thank you.

I believe Glenn Anderson may have been there but he was not the best man.

The first goal was let up by a goalie who later went on to play for the NYR.

Fair enough. I guess both answers are goalies then. Well he played with Grant Fuhr so is that the best man?

My knowledge of late 70s to early 80s goalies is about as bad as can be so I am out on that.

I'll try to contribute something. For some reason I was always fascinated with uniform #s with the Rangers.

Who are players, that played for the Rangers. wore #16 and then at some point (either before or after switched (as a Ranger) - not limited to an in season switch)? I can't think of another number that had this many players switch to and from.

I love #16 - I can think of 6 or 7 (there may be more).

Grant Fuhr was a good guess but not correct.

That is a tough one. I know Pat Hickey, Dave Silk, and Marcel Dionne wore #16 but not sure which if any changed numbers. Hickey played for a lot of teams so my guess is he did. Silk played for a few so he may have.

So this may help - Pat Hickey is one of the answers - he wore 16 and then when he returned a few years later - he wore #24. I have 8 more I can think of.

My answer qualifies as returning to the team, a switch mid season, or a change the following year.

I figured Pat. I could not remember if he wore #24 or #44 along with #16. So I got 1 out of 8. I'm surprised Dave Silk is not one. #16 was never one of my favorite numbers so I can't think of many. Did Kelly Kisio wear #16? Did he change? It is weird that I can remember guys from 30-40 years ago wearing #16 but none from the last 20 years lol. :)

Kelly Kisio is another - he is also the trick answer to the question when people ask who was the last player to wear #11 before Messier. The answer is Adam Graves - Messier joined the Rangers in game #2. Graves wore #11 for one regular season game in 91-92.

That was a good one. So I'm 2 for 8. I will quit while I'm behind lol. :D

This is fun! I have a couple questions.

Who is the only player to wear 4 different numbers in official games as a Ranger? (Pre-season etc not included)

Which other 2 NHL teams has Mike Richter been a part of, despite never playing for them?

Is Jesper Fast one? I know he wore 12, 17 and 19 at various points

First question I had no idea of but then thought maybe Fast? I know he changed a few times.

Second question I know Mike was traded to Edmonton. No idea about the second team. I will guess Vancouver?

First, maybe Dom Moore?

And second, I think Edmonton and Nashville?

I have a Rangers trivia book. Will grab it and drop some questions. Should be fun.

Ughhh Nashville. I think you are right. I was thinking trade but I think that was the expansion draft. UGH I should have known that one. Well done!
Yeah that was a weird expansion draft. He didn't have a contract for the next season, Nash took him and then we just resigned him once free agency opened. The NHL really didnt help those late 90s early 00s expansion teams at all.

No correct answer on the 4 different jersey numbers-question yet.

But @MrAlmost got the 2nd one right!

Richter indeed was part of the Oilers and Predators!

He was selected by Nashville in their expansion draft, and a few years later he was traded to the Oilers, who then received a compensatory draft pick when Richter signed with the Rangers again.

Funny enough, they used that pick to draft Robin Kovář, a player who did not declare for the draft and therefore the pick was null and void.

Right on.

Im thinking the first one is either a player that came up with the Rangers and had a rookie number, solidified a spot and got a real number, then left the team and came back. Or, someone who just had a laughable amount of stints with us.

Maybe Ruchinsky?
