Chiarot embodies most of what’s wrong with this team in my opinion

The opposite of a calming presence in just about every way on the ice, pure chaos most of the time. With and without the puck. Not confident the guy can stick to any type of system

I thought he was much better last year. I do appreciate his physicality

I don't like players like Chiarot. Generally passes the eye test but once you start paying attention, he makes players around him worse. He is a low iq player who doesn't gel with anyone and thinks the game zero steps ahead. Plays snakes & ladders when everyone else is playing chess.

I am thankful we have Edvinsson to play with Seider instead.

It's ok if people have a different opinion of Chiarot but I personally am not a fan. I'd be ok if he was on the third pair with someone who has a simpler, defensive game, but I don't think we have such player on the right side.

He plays like an individual instead of part of a team.

Him and Holl had a couple decent games early last year....

He's a stud and is going to be a stud for years to come.

Now we just need to fix the second pairing and we'll be in business.

It's not quite a perfect second pairing fix, but Schenn from Nashville would be a solid add.

AlJo - Seider
Edvinsson - Schenn

Then the third pairing of total suckage can have their numbers cut to 18 or less.

Dude is playing 15 min a night for Nashville. He’s not going to come here and make our middle pairing any better.

No, trade for Pettersson and make this our defensive depth chart:

Edvinsson-Seider
Pettersson-Johansson
Chiarot-Holl
Gustafsson
Tuomisto
Wallinder
Buium
Sandin Pellikka
AntJo
Brady Cleveland
John Whipple
playing with 5D
Jeff Petry

Apparently Lagesson and Rafferty rank above Tuo, Wally, and Buium. Lagesson was the call up. I'd have ASP above all of them and Gus. At least ASP can develop, Gus is on the decline.

Said again, as the season progresses the commentators will be saying it is a damn shame he missed out on being eligible for the Calder.
