Lucic and Horton for ovechkin doesn't sound too bad from my end. :) Not a fan of slow pokes and Lucic isn't nearly as effective in the games as he is in real life.

well in NHL 12 size was huge in the game. Byron Bitz with the Sedins for me was un-stoppable had a great scoring chance almost every single shift.

In drop in EASHL my guy is 6'4 200+ pounds and he just wreaks havoc on people, i've had all 5 guys hitting me along the boards and somehow I manage to break through and score a few times hahaha (didn't pass cuz once i broke through I knew I could score and those games my teammates can never finish when I pass to em haha) my best game was 3 goals and 30 hits. Even though highest point total i had was 0 goals 9 assists and like 10 hits, thats easier to do than 30 hits plus 3 goals

I typically like guys that skate because it's easier to counterattack. I found that if you used the "A" button that uses one hand and uses your forearm to shield the puck, when a guy comes to hit you, it's extremely hard to knock the puck off your stick. Regarding hits, it's more about body position, I've had a guy like Kane knock guys like Lucic over. The hitting needs to come from the side and in the instant when the player receives the puck.

yea protect the puck works extremely well although they lowered it's effectiveness a little just like they lowered the amount of big hits in the game. I went from averaging around 17 hits a game to 10. This year I think speed will matter more than size because my guy was pretty fast for a big guy enough to stay close to speedy small guys but this year speeds have a bigger gap so its easy to notice a fast player as he will be able to out-skate most players

Also for people wondering, a lot of players have their real hair (not that hair even matters as u rarely see it) and face in the game. I went to edit Yakupov to see his star potential and he looked exactly like him and had his real hair not some stupid fake looking hair most players have in NHL 12

That actually sounds pretty sick.

So I think some of the ratings I told u guys may have changed as it seems as they have lowered star players overalls. Or at least I think they did unless Hamhuis and Edler were always rated higher than Doughty and I just didn't check Unfortunately I was playing the demo this time so I could not check other teams besides LA and NJD. Quick (90) Brown (84) Carter (86) Richards (87) Kopitar (85/86) Doughty (87) Greene (84) Voynov 78 King (72) J.Bernier (80) Kovalchuk (90) Zajac (86?) I didn't really check the Devils sorry!

I know King was a 72 before and Richards was an 87 and Carter was 85/86 I thought Brown was 86 and Doughty was 89 maybe they lowered them or my memory was wrong which is possible seeing how many players I remembered and the 2 teams I used all the other times were only the Canucks and Penguins

good cause theres no way hamhuis should be a 88, better than doughty, maybe a 85/86. Just saying cause that would make Vancouver to stacked in the game :P then everyone would play as them

yea Vancouver looked waay too stacked in earlier builds only players below 80 on the team were Malhotra (78?) Lapierre (78?) Weise (75?) Tanev (76?) and Alberts (73/74) Only players below 85 were Booth (84/85) Raymond (80/81) Hansen (80/81) Ballard (81?) Schneider (83) and maybe Burrows and Bieksa (85/84 each) the rest were 88+

Oh I see, and is this demo we will be playing in a week and a bit? Were you able to play HUT and stuff like that?

yup although what u play is actually a 5/6 month old build and some glitch goals and cheap tactics have been fixed in the actual game that is being shipped out later. there also may be some things u can do in the full game u can't in the demo.

demo has a play now hut free skate and one new mode i probably shouldn't say because idk if its been announced, they don't care if i talk about things already seen by the media and published and i doubt they care about the ratings of players but modes they definitely care about

they also edited the d-men speeds and how long it takes them to make a hard stop and go the opposite way to make em faster so its not super easy to burn them like it was before
