Other than about 10 mins of the Bruins game, the Jets have played awful all the way back to the start of the near collapse in the Leaf game on Saturday.

The Jets have been outscored 12-4 (1 EN) since that time.

Calgary, Alta.
And all those good feelings from the previous games...gone. Just like that.

Like a fart in the breeze.

Speaking of which...what a stinker.

whats with all the hate on jokinen?
did you guys see baby mittens out there
good god.......

this has got to stop, we are not going to win until kane has some hockey players as his linemates(jokeinen and mittens arent hockey players)

i mean he gets a pass right on the tape cross crease, perfect chance, and he does a stupid deke

and then. proceeds to shoot directly at holtby.....
please trade/release/suspend/waive/deport miettinen

get him a private jet straight back to finland, he has no place on this hockey team.

also, wth was claude doing in the last minute of the ame playing llw

in a back to back game, when points are this important, you send out your fourth line and you try to kill somebody
im not saying dirty hockey is something i commend, but washington was going after kane, and why not make them hurt for tomorrows game
we got shutout, so might as well make tomorrows game a bit easier

instead we play our star players? ya a goal wont make a difference that late claude.

i hate to sound like this, but if im coach, i pat thor, tangradi and wright on the shoulder and say, go knock somebody out, fight someone, and throw some nasty hacks.
doesnt matter if we get a penalty, games over

playing llw does nothing at all

4th lines have many purposes, and that is one, and one we need to utilize in a b2b when standings are this tight

also, awesome game by wright, it was great to see him pound steve down, all night long he was the teams first star, then bogo second, they played great

everyone else, get some koolaid, and show up tomorrow, starts at 6 boys, show up on time tomorrow

Feel for Kane having to play with his Uncle Jokinen and Aunty Mittens.

Do some of you now see why the 4th line gets so little ice time, taking the puck off Burmi like taking candy from a baby.

Buff and Clitsome looked dopey as heck.

Caps figured out the Jets, shut down LLW and you win.

Burmi had 12 mins while his linemates had around 8 mins. Burmi can carry the puck well into the zone but cant think quick enough on what to do with the puck once he gets in. Kinda frustrating to watch but he is quite responsible in his own end.

Secondary scoring would have been nice in this game. Kane needs new linemates.

Oh to hell with it, let's try:

Ladd Little Wheeler
Kane Wright Miettinen
Antro Burmi Wellwood
Tangradi Jokinen Thorburn

I dont get why people think wright will be good with kane... he really isnt much for offense. I remember many times where he got fed the puck perfectly but couldnt cash it in. He doesnt make much plays either... not hatin on wright. Love what he does well and thats defense.

Dan Ellis cut his own leg today, out for a few games. Carolina will have to ride Justin Peters.

Like where he coughed the puck up in front of Pavs and the Caps almost scored?:shakehead

It's somewhat distressing that Burmistrov has seemingly regressed since that press box stint. He hasn't even flashed good decision-making, it's been one soft turnover after another with him.

Having said that, Jokinen has been absolutely pitiful of late, and desperate time call for desperate measures. It might not be next game or the game after that, but at some point, I think they're going to have to give Burmi an extended trial on Kane's line. There's nothing happening with that line, Jokinen and Kane have shown zero chemistry.

Buff's giveaways lately have been maddening, but he at least deserves some credit for attempting to create offense.

Hate to say it but I think your right, I'll even admit that Kane had more success with Burmi than he has ever had with Jokinen.

Weird tone around the board tonight.

This team was 6-1-1 over their last eight - prior to tonight. They'll surely come out with a better effort tomorrow night.

Onward and upward.

What a disaster Jokinen is. I hate to pile on the guy but it's painful to watch right now.

Such a shame, I was so excited when I heard he had chosen to sign with us.

so because we won previous games, we should just blow this shutout off, and assume that we will win tomorrow?

Think we all feel that way, Lawless has some goofy idea that he is going to get stronger and start to play better, duh, don't think so. He looks like a tired worn out hockey player too old to play this many games in a condensed schedule. If Jokinen isn't the biggest FA bust I don't know who is.

PS How is it even possible to not pick up an assist in over 20 games playing with Kane?:shakehead

This forum is like the team, there's an on and an off switch depending on whether the team wins or loses.

Jokinen's play has been pretty disappointing thus far this season, but honestly if you take him along with all the other players in the doghouse and take them out the roster, who then takes their spots?

so because we won previous games, we should just blow this shutout off, and assume that we will win tomorrow?

Couldn't this be reversed? Just because this team had a stinker tonight, does that mean they're going into a losing spiral and it's all doom and gloom?

It's the old glass half empty/half full argument. Of course people should be pissed off about a performance like that, but sometimes perspective is needed.

It's my fault guys. I've only missed watching 3 games this year. Bothe Washington shutouts and the Ottawa game on Sunday. They apparently laid eggs in all those games. I'll have to clear my schedule for the rest of the season. :P

Please Understand
The Jets aren't in dire straights yet and fell to a hungrier team. Hopefully, they pick themselves up and dust off for tomorrow night. Up and atom!
