Name me any good/great players who couldn't skate?

Derek Stepan's skating makes me nauseous.

I believe the point he's trying to make is that being an above average nhl skater is not, in and of itself, enough to make one a good nhl player.

Id imagine that for every talented, smart hockey player that couldn't skate well enough to make it there's two or three great skaters that didn't make it because if what was (or wasn't) between their ears.

Yeah obviously Moore's D partner is why all his pinches are awful, and why everytime he carries the puck up the ice it's a turnover .

Completely missed my point. Clearly his choices make him the hockey player he is. My point was with better partners his mistakes would be easier to overcome. Young Dmen make mistakes- that's the way it is in the NHL. Pairing multiple young Dmen together just leads to multiple mistakes.
