Maybe, although I genuinely don’t know how he could be. He invested more in analytics than Murray ever did and there can’t be a single positive analysis about this team right now. And then of course they look pretty terrible by the eye test as well.Well sure. But after one of the trades, he praised him - or the coaching in general - somewhat I feel like. He could’ve said nothing but he chose not to do that.
We’ve been a pretty disappointing team this year I’d say( the offense and Pp especially). I think Pat could’ve cut ties a month or two ago or even in the offseason and it would’ve been justified - at least from an outsider’s POV - , but he hasn’t. I just think he’s more satisfied than we are and potentially by a lot.
I don’t fault him for not firing Cronin after last season, as it makes sense to give him more than one season to prove himself.
I really believe that Pat just doesn’t want to have an interim coach for a couple months, and that he will only fire Cronin when he has the replacement lined up and ready to slot in. Maybe he’s interviewing or maybe he’s waiting for somebody to become available, but I’d be shocked if something didn’t happen.
