Blomgren will for sure not be an extra. They have also signed Kelleher who should be on the top line, perhaps with Blomgren on the other wing.

And Ytterell has been released from his contract and a right shot defender is rumored in, most recently Luke Green.

Yterrell is still listed on the roster on EP

I intend to follow the SHL closley thisseason, so learning a much as I can (although the language barrier may be an issue lol)
Could you--or any other users help me with the team name translations, and the meaning of the names --such as MoDo, HV71, the BK in Farjstad---(is the city name Farjstad or is it Karlstad)

The name MoDo stems from their main sponsor Mo och Domsjö AB.

HV71 was formed by a merger between Husqvarna IF's hockey section and Vätterstads IF on May 24, 1971.

BK stands for bollklubb meaning ballclub, I think it’s because the club was initially formed as a bandy club.

An addendum to add here is that the BK in Rögle BK stands for bandyklubb.

Thank you so much for helping me--My homemade guide for the SHL is coimg along smashing.
From clips I have seen the likes of Nygard who seem to be amongst the fastest of skaters--who else would be considered as the Fastest in the SHL ?
Do they have skill events at the All Star Game--similar to the NHL?
Again, thank you so much for the help and info----Statistics help in a big way, but dont give the full picture.

There is no All Star Game or skills event.

Max Friberg is very fast as well, his acceleration is top notch, age might be catching up to him a bit though.

Twelve goals in 25 AHL games but just four assists in 59 games between Boston and Providence. What is Steen at this stage of his career?

Thank You So Much for the info guys.
Using my time at work wisley, by printing off info sheets at work of each SHL team to hlp me follow along this coming season...lol
PLEASE keep this thread going with info on players etc.....its a huge help.
As I really follow former Eastern Bloc players, I will be monitoring (as best as I can) Farjestad---as Tomasek reminds me a lot of Miro Satan, and of course the arrival of ex NHL player Marian Studenic too.....BUT INFO ON ALL TEAMS/PLAYERS is greatly appreaciated.
With regards
Johnny in the UK
