It’s not a good list to be near the top of and for 9 mil I want Hamilton to win the possession battle more.
The same names on the top of that list are the mostly the ones on the top below. It’s not easy to outscore loosey goosey defense. (Also lol Soucy-Myers and OTT needs to get Sanderson a partner who isn’t a corpse.)

Dougie’s playing the worst defense of his career, wanting better results there isn’t wrong.

Thanks for sharing this (what’s your source btw I love this stuff and haven’t found a good place to read up). A couple thoughts —
1. 53% xGF% is pretty good, you can tell from the coloring of the cell. It is in line with pairs like Chabot - Jensen, Hanifin - Pietrangelo, and Samberg - Pionk (who are currently on the best team in the league)
2. I believe these xGFs will ignore a lot of Dougie’s work on the powerplay which is normally a huge asset for this team. Even when he’s not putting the puck in the net himself it’s one of the most threatening PPQB shots in the league. You could say that that’s fine because it’s only 5on5 but that’s where a lot of Dougie’s value comes from.
3. Offensively he’s been much much better the last 10 games (over a PPG in that span) and he’s shooting at 1.8%. Once those goals come up that will help xGF% (though I’m sure some of that uptick is from PP mins).
4. Agreed that it’s fine to be wanting more defensively. You never want to be that high up especially with a pairing making that much money. I know both GA and xGA have issues but I’m curious how many ENGs Dougie has been on the ice for? He’s their top option on defense (along with 43) when losing so he’s probably been on for a few extra ENG GAs that I’d argue are not as meaningful. Even with that, the xGA is concerning
