Good guy yes Good coach noGood guy good coach but had to be done. Hope he finds success elsewhere
We need more Hyman type players. That would have been far better value than the Nylander deal imo……..
And Woodcroft. No thank you!Not big on all this Todd McLellan talk really.
Great coach but there's way too much crap that's gonna come with Q with the whole Kyle Beech situation. If they're willing to hire Quenneville then he's easily the best candidate.
Depends, if the rangers make short order of the canes, I think there is a good chance he becomes availableBerube would be fine. I wouldn't mind Woodcroft either tbh.
Really don't want McClellan. Not excited about the idea of Gallant either.
Really they should tamper and throw the bank at Rod but not expecting that to work.
Does he have clearance from the NHL, I can't remember where they ended up with that.If they're willing to hire Quenneville then he's easily the best candidate.

Even if he did have the ability to work in the NHL again, I doubt the Leafs would want to bring in a coach with his past, lots of noise.
Gallant never seems to last long in big markets, I wonder why?Great coach but there's way too much crap that's gonna come with Q with the whole Kyle Beech situation.
I prefer Gallant, I feel like his attitude is what this team so desperately needs, especially the core forwards. Berube is a good option obviously, heard some people mention Julien as well.
I'd love Rod, he would probably be my first choice right now.I say just wait it out, lets see what happens in Carolina. Then park the bus with some money at Rod's house
I forget if this was on NHL radio (morning skate) or one of the Friedman/Marek shows but I do remember hearing his name come up recently. They referenced him going to a team that needs better structure and disciplineNot only has Julien not coached in 3 years, but in that same period he's barely been linked heavily with any vacancies around the league.
Insane that he'd be number 1 on anyone's list, respectfully.

I was gonna go with a monkey, or a chair, but dead guy could be the ticket.Yep, maybe a dead guy can get it done behind the bench !!!
Yeah. I would avoid. Not big on all this Todd McLellan talk really.
No sport radio show should ever use the word "alas" lol.
I have no idea how close to reality this story is but I was riveted either wayKeefe was given a very difficult hand to play.
The previous coach tried to enforce systems on the team that would succeed in the playoffs. But that lowers padded stats for the entitled and selfish star players. So they all rumbled to the media and turned Babcock into Hitler overnight. His crimes were things like "yelling" at millionaire adults. But ok. Moving on.
Keefe comes in fully knowing that there will be open rebellion if he doesn't let them play with who they want to play with, and if he enforced systems that won't let them pad their regular season stats.
Like, what is he supposed to do? He doesn't want to be turned into a cartoonish level super villain like they did to Babcock. So he let them pad their stats in the regular season fully knowing it won't go well in the playoffs. He'll get a few years, make a dozen million dollars or so, and then eventually get fired without being turned into Hitler by the media. It was his only real option.
Could be, could be.Feels like we'd chew him up and spit him out here
