 yes its never the players fault. Hannan sucks like Irwin does.

This just can't be said enough.

Both players pinch aggressively (mostly because it's part of the Sharks forecheck / system), sometimes they pinch when they shouldn't or are indecisive but they both miss the puck at times and don't have the foot speed to get back and help when it inevitably ends up an odd man rush the other way.

The biggest difference between the two right now is that the pucks are going in the net when Irwin is on the ice, they haven't as often (yet) with Hannan on the ice.

Neither should be in the line up.

Also, Demers played that horribly.

Oh and Grosenick should not have gotten the start. Sure he played well last game but playing him was basically setting him up to fail.
That's part of the not taking Buffalo seriously. They would never have done that against a decent team.

Ah, Demers...

Thats exactly how I read the situation. Demers should have been positioning himself to try to prevent a pass, as any defensemen should in that situation the vast majority of the time. However, nope. Both Irwin and Demers sucked big time on that one.

They both suck all the time

When I'm watching buffalo, I think to myself "these guys are pretty meh". Never makes sense to me.

Oh, here's the Sharks world class assistant coach being interviewed by another world class dude, Jamie Baker.

This is just getting better, and better.

The players are predictable at this point. We know what we are doing to get from them vs these teams. At this point if the coaches are not compensating for that, they are failing.

Scott Hannan and Tye McGinn are not the solution you're looking for. It's baffling that you'd even think they'd make a noticeable upgrade at all.

Completely agree, though McGinn is a decent sized upgrade over Burish.

I do think the solution could very well be in Worcester right now though.

Eh, I'm not seeing McGinn as an upgrade over anyone right now. He hasn't done anything when he plays. Would rather have Hayes in over both of them.

Burish is just a drag on everyone he plays with, at least McGinn has decent hands and can help a bit when the play is in the offensive zone.

I'd rather have Hayes or Hamilton in over both of them as well.
