Holy balls, the Wings studio guys are ridiculously arrogant/condescending. They're acting like being on the Red Wings broadcast makes them authorities on winning and able to thumb their noses at the plebs just as if they'd hoisted the cup themselves.

Then what does that make the wings? Also, Stuart is almost quieter than Patty.

The "title" was in reference to the Sharks continued regular season success and inability to win the cup (or in SJ's case, get to the final). I get what they're saying, and I concede that San Jose has been a bit a disappointment in that regard (along with Philly and Vancouver, who they lumped into the same category), but it was hilarious listening to them slag the team and talk crap like "San Jose beat the Red Wings a couple times in the playoffs. That should be the catalyst to get to the finals, but they can't even do that"

Then **** this team up the ass.

Murray was on for 19 Corsi events against last game, in 11 minutes. Eleven. Minutes. Playing against Patrick Bordeleau, Chuck Kobasew, and Aaron Palushaj. Let that sink in for a moment. He really is that bad.

I do agree that Pavelski needs to step up offensively. He's been a passenger with Thornton and Marleau and whoever else he's been playing with. But the difference is that Pavs is great defensively, so at least he's not a liability.

Don't know what a Corsi event is.
I see Pavs a liability, right now. I love the guy and want him back in form.
I may be unique, but I think scoring needs to come from forwards more than defense. I will say that Murray has more points than Burns and Demers, combined.

If SJ could score 3+ goals/game, all the defensive score woes would be meaningless.

It's really not about whether the Sharks win. I hope they do, but for me I just want the team to look good. If the Sharks execute well and the Wings just play better I'll be fine.

Prediction: I'm disappointed. Sometimes I love to be wrong, though.

A Corsi event is a goal, shot on goal, missed shot, or blocked shot. Basically, Murray blows. It has nothing to do with his offensive deficiencies, I'm talking about his defensive deficiencies.

That didn't work out very well for a team like the Pens last year.

But you are absolutely right regarding the offense. It needs to come one way or the other. No way I am putting the blame on the offensive slump on Murray. But the problem is that he is a big liability when he is on the ice. Among the current defenders he has the worst Corsi (ON) by a mile.
