1 1/2 hours away
Stepped on them Oilers.
We certainly were charmed with puck luck but I’ll take it.
Scoring up and down the lineup, again. This is exactly what we’ve been waiting for, Sharks hockey.
Lines are meshing and Burns and EK65 are making it hard to contain our boys.

Go Sharks!!

its not even that heed and ryan are so much better defensively but at least plays don't routinely die on their sticks.
yeah they know to just move it the f*** away from them ... v&b are probably more used to handling the puck

EK on TV postgame interview:

- [more impressive: start or response to their goals?] I think that we played a well-performed game for 60 minutes - it's a high-scoring game, it's not easy to stay with it - but we knew we had to play the whole way and I think that's something we struggled with early in the year ad we've been focusing on and it's getting better so it's nice to see
- [what aspects of the team's game do you appreciate right now?] well, I think that everybody's contributing, no matter if you play 7 minutes or you play 23, everybody has a role on this team and it's equally important, I think everybody's feeling that and everybody's giving everything to each other
- [how special was it to play in front of your dad?] yeah, it's my father-in-law, it's great to have him here, it's nice to have all the dads here, they give us great support day in and day out, to give them a little piece of our world - it's amazing to give back

EK on radio postgame interview:

- [what are you guys feeling like now?] it felt good, I thought we did a great job in all three zones, we buried our chances, I thought we did a great job outplaying them
- [on the breakout] I think the key to break out well is support, right now we're doing a great job supporting each other, especially on the walls, coming out through the middle of the ice in our zone, it's allowing us to come out with possession and speed, those are all evident on Donny's first one there
- [on his line w/ Hertl and Donskoi / his goals] I think we're enjoying playing with one another, we're using our attributes to our advantage, Herts is great with the puck down low, real strong down low and able to hold to pucks, Donny is real tenacious on the forecheck, we really turn a lot of pucks over and create a lot of offense that way, we're all going to the hard areas
- [did you give Sorensen advice on the penalty shot] no, that was the finish in him, I think it came out to the forefront, it was great to see, it was a big goal in the game, it was good for him to bear down and finish that off
- [on next game vs Vegas] obviously we need to regroup, we got blown out there last time, it's gonna be a big game, they're playing some real good hockey right now, we started our rivalry last year, we're looking forward to going in there and playing another strong game

And then Melker scores a goal and Pete puts him out there forever even when it's not a blowout.

Is that what you want? Is it? All Melker, all the time? 1st line Melker? Captain Melker? PP1QB Melker? Art Ross chase Melker? Number retired Melker? Dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria Melker?

Let's get real here, let's just put melker out there for 60 minutes against Vegas along with 4 teal cones, and a pinata in net, that would lead to a winning strategy over the season. Mainly because melker would probably get hurt and we could replace him for the year.

I hope DeBoer shelters Vlasic/Braun when they come back. Give them Ryan/Heed deployment and hopefully they’ll be much more successful. I think Karlsson and Burns have shown they can play against anyone these last few games.
