Dude...what?
We are not the only one, Eklund's agent and Brodie Brazil also think he should play in the NHL. it's not insane.
To be fair, the agent will almost always side with the player and/or what makes them more money.

No, the assume part was that I believe you forgot to add the word “dont” in your original post. Don’t match my opinion. I think?
I did at the time. No big deal. I didn’t see the editThe post was edited 5 seconds after it went live. I don't think clarification is needed at this point.

Agents for the most part stay quiet in these situations unless the player is clearly that upset about not playing in the nhl.
That's just f***ing weird and creepy.
Well, this is the organization that starts their player evaluation with "How can someone be good at tipping pucks if they haven't lost teeth?" and "A goalie can save 100% of shots he can see coming"
God this site is god damn annoying with its refreshing of the pages while you are typing.
With eklunds statement yesterday about not knowing if he will even go to sweden and his agents statement about not agreeing with the move back to sweden. I wonder if this being upset is more about sweden then it is about the demotion. With sweden he absolutely knows the nhl season is done for him. With a ahl demotion he could play himself back onto the team if the team continues to play good and he dominates the ahl level.
From Sheng's article:
Diamond also indicated that Eklund was willing to go to the Barracuda, if necessary, to gain more seasoning — the AHL, after all, is a lot closer to the NHL than Djurgårdens. But that conversation never happened between the San Jose Sharks and Eklund.
“There are rules in the IIHF Transfer Agreement and the NHL CBA that govern these situations,” Diamond noted. “The Sharks made their choice and are within their rights and all William can do is to continue to improve everyday.”
Eklund doesn't know Sommer, DW does. He made the choice for him because Eklund couldn't have made a reasonable decision. So with that then wilson and the sharks messed up even worse then originally thought. Picked the worst league for the development, and then never even gave it thought to ask the player which way he wanted to go with a demotion.

Dahlen sounding like a good veteran mentor here. I like it:
He’s got the talent… if he’s going to be the leader of this team down the road he’s gotta learn how to deal with that kind of unfair pressure.Edit: For William, worst case scenario: First getting sent to Sweden to a Djurgården (have an awful season) and then following through an extremely humiliating relegation phase with tons of preassure from the press and crazy upset fans, perhaps not optimal................. ?
If DW has that little faith in Sommer then why is he coaching our prospects?Eklund doesn't know Sommer, DW does. He made the choice for him because Eklund couldn't have made a reasonable decision.
People have been asking this for at least 15 yearsIf DW has that little faith in Sommer then why is he coaching our prospects?
My point being Sommer isn’t the reason he wasn’t sent to the AHLPeople have been asking this for at least 15 years

I didn’t want him sent down but holy overreaction by everyone — like Eklund is going to demand a trade? It’s wildly unusual that he got to play and it should be obvious to him AND his agent that the Sharks are trying to do what they think is best to get him to reach his potential. All experiences are invaluable — he’s going to be just fine, they didn’t send McDavid to the minors, let’s relax here.
Djurgården have serious issues this season. This one of the more classical teams in Sweden (from Stockholm). If Djurgården gets relegated after the season it's big shocking news in Sweden. We will see what happens. If William somehow helps Djurgården and turning this around he will become a god among the fans, that's for sure, it would be huge. This is a lot to ask for a young guy like William though, he would have to be on fire. Djurgården have wild fans *LoL*

AHL would have been much better for William.
San Jose Sharks have more connections to Djurgården. Douglas Murray played for them but Murray's Swedish mother is a daughter of Lars Björn. Lars Björn is a legend in Djurgården, huge (and he was tough just like Douglas).
The fans (Djurgården):
