very disappointed, he was one of the bright spots this season and I was excited to see more of him, especially with all the "young" sharks.
Tbh I don’t know right now if Eklund moves the needle that much in regards to how good this team is right now. This shouldn’t be something that changes Hertl’s mind.I hope this doesn't steer Hertl away from the Sharks, especially if the tank is back on

he seems overjoyed
Defecting to the KHL obviouslyDid I hear him wrong or did he say he wasn't sure if he was going back to Sweden?
I dont know because he deflected the later question about whether he was given a choice between Sweden or the AHL, i feel like he just didnt want to talk about itDid I hear him wrong or did he say he wasn't sure if he was going back to Sweden?
I'm all for the bigger picture and want what's best for his development, so not surprised he's not staying with the big club. I am surprised he's not going to spend the year in the AHL though, mainly to get used to the smaller ice and the org could keep a very close eye on him. That said, I have no idea how the AHL compares to the SHL in terms of play, I'm just not sure if there's much more he can learn in the SHL.
There have been plenty of bright spots this season. Reimer, EK65, Merkeley, Meier, Dahlenvery disappointed, he was one of the bright spots this season and I was excited to see more of him, especially with all the "young" sharks.

Wait what? Meier or Merk or Dahlen hasn't shown flashes? While I agree, I did say all the "young sharks".
Eklund has shown flashes that the players you listed haven't, that made him exciting to watch.
Losing him is a disappointment.

if Eklund returns to his old team Djurgårdens, he will have Marcus Sorensen as a teammate.I dont know because he deflected the later question about whether he was given a choice between Sweden or the AHL, i feel like he just didnt want to talk about it
Id rather some random coach in Sweden develop him than Sommer
