It was pretty obvious to me watching preseason that he was going to succeed. He looked great And I honestly didn't expect that prior to the preseason either. He's just becoming a steady defender.
Bahl is better at hockey than Smith.
Smith is nothing but a liability. He's the only player on this team right now that sticks out like a sore thumb in a bad way. He brings nothing good to the table. All he brings is a guaranteed penalty every game, sometimes 2.Bahl 98% xGF through 2 periods just like last game. Smith is not needed. Go back to 12/6
30 shots already. Doubling them.
Oh yeah, Smith is one of those players who plays both forward and dman if needed? Theres literally no reason not to play Bahl as 3D if thats the case.Smith-McLeod-Bastian
Almost every time I agree with your assessment on goals allowed , but that was a crazy shot. 1/8” inch off in any direction and that doesn’t go in. I don’t fault Blackwood on that one. Sometimes you just tip your hat to the shooter for making a perfect shot. You can make an case for every goal is technically stoppable , same as this one , but I wouldn’t say it’s a ”bad“ or soft goal.Fair enough.
Good shot, not a really bad goal, thought he could have had it.
Certainly not as bad as his goals against Philly or the first goal against the Ducks.
Worst thing about ESPN+ is all they play during commericals is local election ads...
Kind of. Not terrible. Good shot.@Bleedred , that goal was not a stoppable goal by Mac, right?
Give it can rest man. That was a snipe.Stoppable goal is stoppable.
Can't this guy give up goals that aren't bad?
God forbid, he might get a shutout if he did.
30 shots already. Doubling them.
That and rookies scoring their first goal. Anyone on the Sharks due?One thing that has not changed over the past 15 years is the Devils’ ability to make random dudes look like prime Hasek.
30 shots already. Doubling them.
Kinda wild they're up 2-1 in what you could argue is their worst played game of the year, could be karma for the first 2 games that they lost. Big 3rd period though, need a regulation win versus arguably a top 3 contender for Bedard this year.
Wtf was Graves doing going in on the right side boards towards the end there????
