Honestly, I kinda wanna see Couture on the 3rd line...spread the scoring. That 2nd line looks better with Hertl than it did with couture and Couture would dominate with Wingels and Donskoi on the 3rd line.

Also, that Mario noise at the Pepsi center for ES is awesome

I would check out the matchups, i wouldn't doubt if qoc is lower with hertl on that line, which in turn puts higher qoc on the thornton line and accounts for some of its difficulties.

now if hertl plays like this on the 3rd line ... it will be domination

Yah. I agree. I don't think there is not exactly one player to blame either. Almost seems like they are taking some shifts off but being really good in some shifts. Sometimes they are being very aggressive defending the neutral zone and sometimes they just let the opponents skate in. Too much inconsistency.

I agree. I'm not sure what's up bc, as you say, one player will play well one or two shifts, then take one (or more) off. They rarely seem to all be playing well at the same time. When they do, they look good but it doesn't happen often enough.

Couture only had like 2 games with that line and they were doing pretty well in the 2nd game. I was skeptical of that set up but they weren't bad. I wouldn't mind seeing the lineup blender happen though, that top line's not as dominant as we're used to.

Agree that Couture should be back long before Torres but I think Couture is supposed to be back some time between November 14th and 28th. 11/14 is exactly four weeks after his surgery. I think that's why Randy said that he might be back in time for the next road trip. Let's hope so.
