Wow Crosby is joining Team Canada and sounds like MacKinnon is also going to join. Great company for Celebrini to spend some time with and learn from!
I wouldn't fault him for just stepping away from hockey for the next couple of weeks after that epic 3rd period collapse by Colorado. Not saying he's to blame, but it's still gotta sting.Blackwood should definitely go, especially if he wants any chance at making the Olympic roster
Jesus, show us on the doll where Connor touched you.Seriously what's the story with Bedard not being on Team Canada? Was he crying so hard that he missed the phone call? Surely the entitled prick doesn't think he's too good for this tournament if Sid and just eliminated MacKinnon are going.
While said in a disparaging way towards Bedard he is not wrong in questioning why he is not on the team. Even as one of Bedard biggest haters I can’t justify keeping him off the team for talent reasons.Jesus, show us on the doll where Connor touched you.
He’s been playing for team Canada for years, played on the team last year (Sidney did not). If he decides he wants to spend Th e offseason training for next year then I don’t see the reason to blast him for it. It’s example 100284749 of Hodge having a narrative and turning every single thing into a negative reaffirmation of his narrative. While said in a disparaging way towards Bedard he is not wrong in questioning why he is not on the team. I do think it just shows he doesn’t have the character to LEAD a team to a cup. He would rather start his vacation early than compete for his country. You see guys like Mackinnon and Crosby who have every reason to say no and they are there to compete. He’s been playing for team Canada for years, played on the team last year (Sidney did not). So since none of us talk to any of these players we talk about we might as well just shut down the board since we can’t have opinions about players.Sidney said no last year.
The rest of your post… unless you have talked to the kid is an unfair perspective.
Moving on.
I'll let the admins know it's time to close down.So since none of us talk to any of these players we talk about we might as well just shut down the board since we can’t have opinions about players.
You just think it is an unfair perspective since it doesn’t fit whatever narrative or bias you have internally.
Dude came out and literally said his intent was to get a head start on his offseason program, because he wasn’t happy with how his season went. He made his choice to focus on the success with the team that drafted him. Guarantee if Celebrini does the same thing next year he’ll be praised for his decision. Quinn Hughes turned down a shot too. I had no idea he cared so little about leadership! So since none of us talk to any of these players we talk about we might as well just shut down the board since we can’t have opinions about players.

I'll be honest, it's getting real old. I'm not even sure he likes hockey... or himself. You guys take Hodge's slander of other players too seriously. He said he likes rooting for failure for any player who isn't a shark. It's funny. He's playing the mega Hater and he does a good job of it. Hodge Missile Engage.

He played like his offseason started months ago.Bedard turned down the invite to "get started on off-season training" or something like that.
But I just finally created my second account after the board crash and I can't even vote on polls yet!I'll let the admins know it's time to close down.
That's Lame Bustson and Ivan Crummydov to you sir!Dude came out and literally said his intent was to get a head start on his offseason program, because he wasn’t happy with how his season went. As for a narrative, I don’t have one. I couldn’t care less what he does. Hodge has made his personal feelings known so he’ll enphasize any opportunity to shine a negative light even if it isn’t necessarily one. Pay attention to the next few months about focusing on his newer hate pet projects Hutson and Demidov and you’ll see a narrative.
Being a perpetual hater makes you eventually right 90% of the time in any sport. And if you're wrong then it's not a big deal cuz good things happen. It's a very bullet proof strategy in sports discussion. Either they're bad and you're right or you're wrong and life is good. You guys take Hodge's slander of other players too seriously. Future teamates Cuylle, Dobson, and Celebrini.
I believe it was Demibust. For someone so fixated on calling everyone a bust you’d assume he’d have developed some sort of creative system for namecalling. He’s the bust of trollsThat's Lame Bustson and Ivan Crummydov to you sir!
You're 100% right, with a few follow up questions:Being a perpetual hater makes you eventually right 90% of the time in any sport. And if you're wrong then it's not a big deal cuz good things happen. In short, the cowardly strategy to sports fandom.
The issue? Because he also roots for many Sharks prospects to fail. You're 100% right, with a few follow up questions:
1) if you're rooting for someone else's team's prospect to fail, what's the issue? You're right 90% of the time and it's fun. I personally don't really want to see guys the Sharks could have drafted become monsters, or other teams' rebuilds do better than ours. I can appreciate great hockey but do I want that in lieu of Sharks success? Hell no.
2) is it cowardly for any fan to do this, or just cowardly to do it on a message board where you can annoy others with your cowardice? Like my elderly father is a full time Sharks cynic, and only I bear the brunt of it. It's annoying, but does it make him a coward?
3) if all this (including these boards) is entertainment, so what? The Holier Than Thou I'm right You're Wrong is annoying, and sometimes unjustified (I don't get the Walman thing), but with Demibust, Bustson, Michfraud, and my personal hate favorite Sucker Gauthier, why not have a little fun sipping on haterade?
I fully acknowledge that Hodge and many of us including myself can get carried away on here but 90% of the time, I see it for what it is: entertainment, and a smart, sharp elbowed poster playing a bit, and a pretty funny one.
