let's get it, welcome to SJ

I was hoping we'd take a flier on him when the Canucks were reportedly looking to dump him earlier in the season.

He's a really good skater for his size and will definitely help the PK. Played a regular shift for the Oilers throughout their SCF run last year.

He also can't move the puck at all. A modern day, poor man's Roman Polak.

This is overpaying for an asset the Sharks shouldn't want.

Dude is a terrible skater. Not sure what you’re talking about.

His top speed last season was 91st percentile among defensemen. Above average number of speed bursts too.

He's one of the biggest players in the league so obviously he's not gonna walk the blueline like Makar.

So he has a fast top speed. Doesn’t mean he’s a good skater.

I’m just hoping this means we are moving a dman out. Deshairnais, Mukh, Vlasic, Liljegren, Thompson, Walman, Ferraro likely all see time in the NHL then you add in guys like Schuldt, Cagnoni who probably deserve some time up too.

It’s worth noting that more than half of Desharnais’ total contract is paid in the form of signing bonuses; his base salary each season is the $775K league minimum. Saving more dollars?
