I doubt he'd be interested anyways. Trotz said a big reason they "hit" in free agency was the tax advantages, so presumably Marchessault won't want to give that up to move to Canada.
That’s a tough contract for 4 1/2 more years at 34.
He didn’t win a Smyth, for sure, he put up 16 points in his Cup run at 30 and then put up 22 points in 21 playoff games in his 33 and 34 year old seasons.Perron didn't win the Conn Smythe 2 years ago and isn't 1 season removed from 40+ goals.
Marchessault is aging much better and would easily be the trigger man on the PP2.
Guessing rotator cuff... depending on severity he may not need an operation this yearIf he doesn’t need surgery I’ll take that as a win.

I’ve had 2 rotator cuffs, definitely couldn’t raise my arm like he did, after initially doing it. Cortisone shot helped though after one of them.Guessing rotator cuff... depending on severity he may not need an operation this year
I had an operation to repair mine.. along with a detached bicep ; I dealt with mine for a few years..
