While I agree. I wouldn't put it past Shane. Dude is legit nuts. 100% he is going off while climbing at worst.

Guy would jump off the jerry Tron if they let him.

Doubt we see Shane get too crazy... he does have 3 kids now and his body is 15 years older.

He still has a screw loose. So again I really wouldn't put it past him to do something he probably shouldn't.

Top of the cage is extra insane though because its higher then the old cage. I'm confident one of them is going through the side wall though. No way it stays in the cage the whole time.

He will still push the boundaries and do something that you don't expect. You would not have expected him to drop back first from the titantron when he was younger either.

He probably won't do something like that again, but it is Shane, so he will surprise you again with some other crazy spot.

That fall was also heavily cushioned. They cant really do that with a fall from the cage.

^This as well.

People are really getting their hopes up. I don't think Shane will do anything more extreme than falling off the cell maybe 3/4 way up through the announce table (like Rollins/Ambrose) - either being yanked off or doing his elbow drop.

The most "Shane" thing we'll see is that he'll probably bust out the Coast to Coast.

Undertaker laid out on the announce table and Shane on top of the cell. Shane has that crazy look on his face forcing Vince to come out and tell him not to do it. He tells him that he can still run raw and not to jump off. Shane calms down, but doesn't say anything and agrees to the deal. While walking to the edge Shane looks down at taker on the table and the crazy look comes back and he jumps off. Taker moves last second causing Shane to land on the announce table and prolly the biggest pop of the year. Undertaker will get the win, but Shane still gets to run the show.

They can't pad the announce table area enough to cushion that fall from that high.

There's a reason why Shane's big spots were always by the titantron, they could cushion the **** out of those floor areas and hide it from the crowd as well. They don't have that luxury at ringside.

So what you're saying is that we won't see Shane thrown through glass again?? bummer. I wonder if it will be as stiff and old school as the Brock/Taker Cell match. Had some blood, stiff hits even a head shot with a chair!!

Cushion or no cushion, I still think it's an insane spot. I have to think that there is a margin of error involved, and if an error occurs, we're talking about potentially devastating consequences.

How about the glass with Kurt at KOTR?

No padding there.

I'm sorry, do you think you can "pad" a fall from that titatron that is at least TWICE as high as a hell in a cell? You can pad it all you want but the titantron spots hurt like hell, you could hear the wood crack and the "thud" when he landed.

The HIAC jump to an announce table is not nearly as high and they could easily pad the floor that is under the announce table to break the fall. It's not like the table itself is very thick to begin with.

Not to mention, Shane just does not give a ****. During his match with angle, shane was already broken by the time they got to the glass spot (and angle had a broken tail bone or something too) Shane being the addrenaline junkie he is, said put me through that glass. Not only did angle not want to do it and did not get him through the glass, shane said do it AGAIN. and then there was the inside glass to come back out, which shane once again didn't go through. Guess what he said? do it AGAIN.

Just watch the interviews and try to imagine shane not doing whatever he wants at wrestlemania

It's also been 15/16 years since those spots. Really those expecting insane high fall spots from the top of the cage are going to be disappointed.

Yes the KOR shots through the glass were not padded. They also went horribly wrong and gave Shane a concussion.

The Titantron fall at SummerSlam was padded it was hidden under the platform. But again Shane was 30 at the time. He is now 46, and hasn't worked a match in 6 years.

It's not easy to pad the announce table area because it's right in front of the crowd. The reason they could pad the hell out of the titantron area is because you can dress it up a bit as it's not brightly lit up and there's a distance from the crowd, they can't do it at ringside.

And yeah, everything that Loosie said. Guy's 46 now with 3 kids.

Also I personally think it's a bit irresponsible to demand Shane do a high spot for nostalgic sake.

While I totally dig that, this is an almost 50 year old man jumping from that height. Like others have said, I just cannot see a world where that would happen at this point. 10 years ago, sure. Shane now? Noooo way.

But still, I dig your idea. Everyone wins. We get drama, the spot, Shane runs Raw, Taker wins, etc.

Who is demanding anything?

I see speculation.

Clearly not going to be a 1-1 match with nothing happening. Else, youd have kept the Stowman thing live.

Easy to pad ringside as well, especially if its the table. Pad under the table itself and a pad on the floor. Simple as that. If he's doing an off the cage table spot, it would be easy to safen the area.

It's not easy to pad the ringside. You pad and then it's straight concrete floor. With titantron area, they literally had Shane diving into large boxes that had a good three-to-four feet of pads before actually reaching the floor.

Look how deep Shane and Blackman are when Blackman drops in.

Now unless they intend on building a comically high box under the announce table with all the announcers sitting super high, it ain't happening.
