Ideally the sucking will be lessened, but I wouldn't want to put a number on a win target, not right now, certainly.Yes I know we are going to suck. Can we maybe suck less than the previous years? Is making 30 wins too much to ask?
Just catching up on this chat, i should have been more clear. No i didnt say AAV. I meant 3 years total value 5-6million so 1.6-2.0 AAV for 3 years. I was corrected earlier that anything over 1 year brings him straight to arbitration. So this doesn't matter anyway. But if that wasnt the case i would absolutely give him that contract if it was an option. Cant really lose but no way was i on board for 5-6m aav. i meant total contract value to clarify.3 years? $5-6M AAV? What? I’m as optimistic on Mukh as anyone else, but bro hasn’t survived half a season in the NHL yet. And while he certainly showed some promise, it’s not like he looked so electric that we should consider him a surefire top 4 guy.
And as far as the Thrun/Dellandrea contracts, I’m sure the team would have been fine with a second year for Mukh with similar AAV. At either price, in the absolute worst case they could bury him in the minors for a $300k cap penalty. For all intents and purposes that’s not a penalty.
I’d guess Mukh opted for a single year, with the intent of negotiating next year with the benefit of a full season of NHL play.
And stays healthy for onceMakes sense, hopefully he builds on a good start this year and then lands an extension next summer.
I hope that by the end of the season, the Sharks are kicking themselves for not signing Mukhamadullin long-term...
Islanders need help now not 3-5 years down the road, it’s very probable they take MisaA 1-year, $1M contract interpretation: MUK +2OA + (X) probably Eklund will be traded to Isle for Sharks to move up and grab Schaefer.

He has enough ammo to take chances. I'd like to see him look into Scott Morrow in Carolina. A good-sized RD who struggled in his moment on the big stage in the ECF.Based on Darche's presser, I disagree with that. However, I do think there's strong reason to consider Misa in their position, but I expect they take Schaefer. Also, if NYI values Misa or Hagens closely to Schaefer, I'd imagine Grier will find a way to get the dman. Odds are we'll never know.
