Carolina has the best coach in the league, they'll keep it up. Rangers are the Rangers, they'll make it because they have the quintessential regular season roster to do well with even though they got smoked. We should be fine. I think the Caps will taper off of a bit but man are they f***ing good as well. I just want to get into the dance, I think this team can be fine once they get there imo but need to work on the lulls they have mid game.

Sure, but they aren't going to play at 130 point paces. We will be right there with them and can pass them when we go off on a hot run

Man what a night and day difference between keefe and ruff

Keefe basically said he didn’t like tonight’s game at all except for getting the 2 points and jacks line

Also said the standard and expectations this year is a lot higher than last year

The fourth line was useless but usually is. Luke looked like he's never handled a puck before frequently flubbing it, Dougie sucked, Markstrom absolutely needs to stop that first goal, etc. There are certainly negatives but Jacks line was electric all night and you got the win. Take it and keep moving but it wasn't all rainbows and sunshine for sure so I'm glad Keefe isn't blowing smoke up anyone's ass.

Dougie went shit mode

This definitely checks out.

Didn’t even think the Nico or Haula lines were bad tonight necessarily, but just not a lot of sustained pressure or high danger chances out of those trios. Jack’s line was dangerous seemingly all night long.

Credit to the Haula line for the Siegs goal though, which was a big one. Cotter did some serious work there on the forecheck.

It's either Bastian realizes he's not a fighter and doesn't get his jaw mangled every 5 months or Fitz goes out and gets a rental for that fourth line come February + getting a 4C would help in some capacity
