It's not a bad deal on paper but it doesn't make sense for the Giants.

Chapman turned 31 in April. The Giants at some point are going to have to pick a lane because the way they're trying to build their team isn't going to work long term.

Oh boy. Bregman is gonna get paid. Hopefully by us but our owner is a moron so who knows. I can see some team in dire need of a 3rd basemen throwing a truckload of money at him which will give Crane cold feet. Guess we'll see.

Chapman had to play good to get that contract, now that he secured the bag will he still be productive or be Darren Waller with a fade?

platinum glove winner and it looks like he's gotten back on track offensively. his bat probably won't ever return to his 2019 form again, but if he can keep putting up similar numbers to this season he'll be fine

he'll likely be pretty bad the last few years of the contract but that's pretty much the norm these days with big contracts
